Learning With Linda:
This weekend, I learned a lot! I shared in two ordinations and two very different worship services, all in the FMCIC in Saskatchewan. Such wonderful people! I learned about the tremendous work the MEGAP does to discern and develop those who have heard the call into ordained ministry. I heard the newly ordained ministers celebrate the pastors in their network and the family and friends who invested part of their holiday weekend in supporting this major step in their faith journey. I was honoured to share in every one of these stories.
We will return to B. T. Roberts next week. It gives you another week to figure out the answer to my question!
Blessings on you, my FMCIC family.

Freedom Series Video 4 - Discipleship
We believe this video series encapsulate many of the convictions that we have held from the very beginning and set us on a path for carrying our vision into the future.
The Free Methodist Church in Canada has publicly confessed, “a role in the oppression of First Nations people, whether by action or passive inaction, past or present.” Since this confession at the General Conference in 2008, the FMCIC has committed to seeing the work of Truth and Reconciliation as ongoing and continuous.
The Intercultural Engagement Team continues to nurture relationships and partnerships with organizations and individuals that focus on and/or engage with issues central to meeting the Calls to Action raised by the Truth and Reconciliation Commission. Local congregations play a crucial role in continuing the journey forward. The FMCIC has created a framework to provide resources, support, with information to aid, and educate.

JUSTICE
We believe this video series encapsulate many of the convictions that we have held from the very beginning and set us on a path for carrying our vision into the future. We intend them to be succinct, simple to remember, and easy to communicate to our FMCIC family in our congregations and to those outside who want to learn more about who we are.
Learning with Linda, Week 5.
The BOA gathers with the National Leadership Team:
The new Board of Administration recently voted in at our General Conference gathering in April, met this past weekend at the FMCIC National Ministry Centre in Mississauga for the first time with Bishop Linda Adams and the National Leadership Team.
We are so grateful for their service and oversight, please join us in praying for them over the next few days.

Changes to the National Ministry Centre:
The National Ministry Centre is working on upgrading our building and has just replaced our faded 28-year-old sign with a new one including our logo. Under a separate grant from the government, we will be replacing our front doors with new glass doors in the coming weeks, which will provide increased energy efficiency and security. If you are in the neighbourhood, stop by and have a look!
Over the course of the next several weeks we will be sharing videos from our Freedom Series and our new Foundations Series that go deeper into the heart of what the Free Methodist Church in Canada believes.
After today videos will be shared on Thursdays. We hope you will take a few minutes each week to watch the videos and pray.
