We are currently seeking an experienced, detail oriented individual to join our team as a Handyman to oversee and complete all of the required day-to-day maintenance and upkeep of our growing rental portfolio.



This position plays an integral role in ensuring our clients valuable rental portfolios are maintained to the highest standard, showing well inside and out and always up-to-date on any and all fire or life & safety requirements.



JOB DESCRIPTION:

- Daily check-ins with the Property Manager providing thorough updates on recent work completed, and required future work

- Complete all service calls and all preventative maintenance as directed by Property Manager

- Proactively identify and inspect issues that require attention and follow-up on actions required

- Maintain accurate work-order and inspection logs via provided software

- Preparation for unit turnover, providing quick assessment and remedy for any unit deficiencies

- Frequently drive all properties in the portfolio completing basic exterior inspections and ensuring properties are being well maintained

- Work on your own schedule with a contracted number of hours per month, on call for emergencies only

- Responsible for completing basic repair and maintenance tasks including but not limited to, basic plumbing (faucet and toilet replacement), basic electrical (light and switch replacement), exterior lawncare and snow removal, deck and fence repair, patching and drywall repair, painting, junk removal, laminate and tile flooring repair, door and handle repair, unit turnover cleaning





SKILLS AND SPECIFICATIONS:

- Exceptional problem solving abilities, time management and organizational skills

- A strong work ethic matched with the desire to grow with an expanding company

- Ability to identify and evaluate deficiencies, determine procedure and implement solutions

- Outstanding customer service skill and tenant relations

- Ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary team and interact with various levels of the organization

- Understanding of basic construction, plumbing, electrical and HVAC systems



REQUIREMENTS:

- Past experience in renovations, property maintenance, or as a handyman a must

- Ability to work independently or with little supervision

- Must have own vehicle and provide own insurance

- Must own all of your own tools

- Clean criminal record check
