✨Please join us on Sunday, June 2, 2024 as we say farewell, until we meet again, to Rev. Debra P. McGill who has been our minister here at St. Stephen's on-the-Hill since January 2019. The 10:30 a.m. service will be a celebration of our ministry together. We wish Rev. Debra many blessings, good health and peace in her well-deserved retirement. She will be greatly missed. All are welcome to stay for lunch and a time of fellowship in the Common Room immediately following the service. Come and meet Rev. Debra's family! 💐❤️🎶🎹🙏🏻✝️😢

✨On Sunday, May 26th, 2024 at 10:30 a.m., we are celebrating our 66th Anniversary and CADRE Drum Ensemble will be our special musical guest. We are also dedicating a plaque for a gift given in honour and remembrance of Chuck and Shirley Noltie. Congratulations to our Junior Choir on their wonderful performance of “We Are The Dreamers” at the Peel Music Festival Gala Concert on Mother’s Day (May 12) at the Rose Theatre in Brampton. The Victoria Day long weekend is here! For those of you packing up the car and heading to cottage or farm or to visit family and friends, travel safely and return rejuvenated and restored.

Happy Mother's Day! Today - Christian Family Sunday - we celebrate mothers and women. In lieu of a carnation flower being given to the women in the congregation for Mother's Day, a donation has been made to the Rattray Marsh Conservation Area, Credit Valley Conservation in honour of the women of SSOTH. A bookmark will be given to everyone on Sunday. No matter where you are, in thanksgiving for all the women in our lives, with and without children, we thank you for the beauty you have brought into our lives.

🎉CONGRATULATIONS to our Junior Choir for their First Place Award at the adjudicated 2024 Peel Music Festival back in early April. Grateful for Music Director Sunju Koh's leadership and her dedication to working with our young singers. The Junior Choir has been asked to sing at the Peel Music Festival Gala Concert on Mother’s Day (May 12) at the Rose Theatre in Brampton. Also…the Junior Choir is being rewarded a scholarship! April 14, 2024 was a bittersweet day at St. Stephen's on-the-Hill. A special service of thanksgiving and farewell was held as Jennifer Auty retired as Staff Associate for Children's Christian Education. For the past 22 years, Jennifer worked with both our Children and Youth and we will be forever grateful for her creativity and leadership. Our upcoming Spring Sale is on Saturday, May 11th from 9:00-1:00pm (Mother's Day weekend). The sale will be packed with wonderful vendors and products for you and your friends!

You will have access to vendors, clothing, accessories, baking and more!

We are collecting the following gently used items ONLY:
👚Clothing: Men's, Women's, Children's
💍Accessaries: shoes, boots, jewellery, scarves, hats, belts

Drop Off: May 6th-10th

Holy Week events leading up to Easter Sunday:

* March 28, 2024 - Maundy Thursday Supper and Worship Service
* March 29, 2024 - Joint Good Friday Service held at SSOTH with Christ First United choir and congregants joining us.
* March 31, 2024 - Easter Sunrise Service on the patio at 7am followed by a small breakfast - fish BBQ and hot beverages.

Our Easter Sunday Service of the Resurrection was a busy one celebrating Baptism, Confirmation and the Welcoming of New Members...as well as celebrating Holy Communion. ✝️

We are so grateful to our minister, Rev. Debra P. McGill, for the time she puts into planning and preparing our services and special events here at SSOTH. Her creativity and dedication is appreciated by everyone. As we have said before, think of the Energizer Bunny....and that's our Rev. Debra!

Sadly for us, back in February, Rev. Debra announced that she will be retiring in June. It was a shock for many, but totally understandable. Her final Sunday at SSOTH is June 2, 2024. Mark your calendar! The celebration will be bittersweet...🙏🏻❤️
