Wow! We snagged an opportunity to capture the fun we’ve been having at school! HUGE thanks to for squeezing us into his busy schedule! Last night, some of my new friends and fellow students and I recorded a live video at Dave’s studio, All Ears Productions. What a blast! Now we all go separate ways and must say farewell for now. Dave and I will work on some mixing over the summer, looking forward to sharing some speak peeks of my song “Honey” and Molly Jo’s song “Bare Boned” 🥳 of such a fun evening!

“In the Dark” a beautiful collaboration with a talented producer and genuine good human (seriously, he even mailed me the socks I forgot at his place when I was visiting his Winnipeg studio recording songs on this album).

I brought him a demo that I was pretty attached to and he managed to retain the same shimmer I loved about the demo.

“In the Dark” is inspired by a time I was taking on the fears of someone I loved and realizing an internal conflict as my own empathy was holding me back from my true potential.

Bousada was an inspirational person. Always contributing to the community, always doing something interesting. I really enjoyed getting to know him through shared music events and through being his roommate for a few years. I’ve also loved watching him and Rose’s relationship bloom. I feel gutted to hear of her sudden loss. I am grateful for the impact that Graeme has had on the Victoria community and I have only seen a small portion of it.

This reminds me to live fully and love fearlessly. I may be too far away for a hug but if anyone needs to talk, I’m open. Please do not be alone in your grief.

Bousada’s family is raising funds to help with their new baby’s future education (more details in the link). Being a single parent is hard financially and I can’t imagine becoming a single mom in this way. I wish tender compassion for Graeme’s family and friends.

Heya friends, fam and fans, heads up, I am temporarily unable to access instagram so I won't be able to connect as easily. Pretty sure it's an outdated phone thing. I'm what marketers call a "Lagard". I'll come back from the woods eventually. (*Cough f**k the system cough*)

I've kind of fallen off the wagon of spending all my free time booking shows and being uber ambitious. Still on that road though, seems I'm just going at it at a slower pace. I'm starting off with a couple of shows that my friends have plopped into my lap (thanks Bella Cat Music and Talel McBriar) and I think I've got the itch to do MORE.

This marks my first time putting "they/them" on a resume. Music Festivals are ahead of the curve and I feel so very lucky to have found my bliss with the creation of music and the community of people who are part of creating, performing and supporting art. Bless the fests! This one is Shambhala I've never been but I'm excited to step into their world for a bit. I love being behind the scenes at festivals and am so glad that a lot of them survived the pandemic and are opening their worlds to us again.
