Be VISIBLE on campus! 🇵🇸🍉 SHUT. IT. DOWN. 🍉🇵🇸
Join us this Thursday in a wave of action to express our undying solidarity for the steadfast people of Gaza. As we witness the brutal progression of this genocide, with brutal attacks on Rafah and escalation in Lebanon, our administration refuses to act on our simple demand, and their irrefutable duty; divestment. This time, we have no choice but to be unavoidable…
We call on all student organizations in solidarity to heed our call for a day of complete SHUTDOWN. Mobilize. Organize. Let action be the sound of our demands.
Join us to rally for shutdown at 12PM (location TBA) and stay tuned for solidarity events across campus throughout the day.
Until divestment and until liberation!
ALL EYES ON RAFAH! TOUS LES YEUX SUR RAFAH!
CANCEL ZIONIST COURSES
In the shadow of the Zionist regime’s heinous and escalating genocidal campaign, now marked by the unconscionable bombing of makeshift shelters housing over a million displaced souls in Rafah, the imperative for McGill to enact immediate divestment has reached a critical zenith. We must not only stand firm against this genocide but actively combat it. The relentless malevolence of the Zionist regime represents an affront to humanity itself.
As part of the call for divestment, we present to you parts of the expose released by the Campaign for the Policy Against Genocide in Palestine:
McGill’s complicity is not limited to its investments. It also extends to its network of courses and exchanges with isr*eli universities, which form the foundation of military research and development. SPHR heeds the call from Palestinians since 2004, demanding a total academic and cultural boycott of isr*eli institutions.
McGill’s ‘Start-up Nation’ Courses normalize the violent reality of the zionist state and the role of weapons and surveillance technology in expanding settler colonialism and genocide.
McGill students rise in unison, their voices thundering with an unwavering demand for immediate action: Divest now!

STOP FUNDING APARTHEID CLERKSHIPS
In the shadow of the Zionist regime’s heinous and escalating genocidal campaign, now marked by the unconscionable bombing of makeshift shelters housing over a million displaced souls in Rafah, the imperative for McGill to enact immediate divestment has reached a critical zenith. We must not only stand firm against this genocide but actively combat it. The relentless malevolence of the Zionist regime represents an affront to humanity itself, while the unwavering steadfastness and resilience of the Palestinians stands as a beacon of pride and strength.
As part of the call for divestment, we present to you parts of the exposé released by the Vote Yes! Campaign for the Policy Against Genocide in Palestine:
The McGill Faculty of Law selects candidates and facilitates funding for clerkships at the Supreme Court of isr*el. The Zionist Supreme Court has a 98% rejection rate of Palestinian petitions challenging isr*eli policies and practices and plays a central role in maintaining apartheid under occupation.
McGill students rise in unison, their voices thundering with an unwavering demand for immediate action: Divest now!

🚨ALL OUT FOR GAZA 🚨
Despite the so-called humanitarian pause, the Zionist entity continues to target and kill the people of Gaza, to occupy Palestinian land, and to collectively punish the Palestinian people. There are currently over 8,300 prisoners held in Zionist jails, many of whom are women and children, that are subject to aggression and humiliation. We demand a permanent ceasefire, the end of the siege on Gaza, the release of all Palestinian prisoners, and an end to this occupation.
Montreal, we must keep coming out in large numbers and show our officials that our efforts will not diminish with time or cold. Join us this Saturday at 2pm at Dorchester Square.
Our voices will not be silenced!
Join on Thursday, November 30th at 5 pm in front of Arts to demand that our voices be heard in face of an active genocide. The recent injunction is just another attempt to suppress our collective will for Palestinian solidarity and liberation.
We will head to the BoD meeting at SSMU to ensure our demands and expectations are relayed.
Glory to Palestine, glory to Gaza.
SPHR McGill’s statement in response to the recent developments with regards to the “Policy against Genocide in Palestine”.
We reaffirm our continuation in confronting Zionism, from wherever it may be, and uplifting our people’s voices in Gaza and Palestine.
The students have spoken in the largest voting turnout in McGill history. Our SSMU representatives and administration must heed our demands. All eyes are on and —we won’t stop fighting until we see the change that this policy demands.
VICTORY: 78.7% of McGill students vote to adopt the Policy Against Genocide in Palestine, amassing the largest turnout in SSMU Referendum history!
The Policy demands that our university’s administration publicly condemn the genocidal campaign and siege against the people of Gaza at the hands of the Zionist regime. It demands that our university immediately cut ties with, and divest from corporations, institutions, and donors complicit in genocide, settler-colonialism, apartheid, and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians.
We are overwhelmed to see the McGill student body show such strong support for the Policy Against Genocide in Palestine and for the Palestinian struggle in this historic moment. Our fellow students’ resounding endorsement of this urgent policy sends a clear message to the administration that the student body will no longer tolerate our University’s remorseless complicity in upholding the occupation of Palestine and the destruction of its people.
McGill students have demonstrated that we will remain steadfast in advancing the Palestinian struggle for liberation, despite intimidation and repression tactics. We rejoice in our community’s resilience and unwavering solidarity with Palestine, and urge you all to continue championing the Palestinian cause with passion and tenacity, as our people have done for the past 75 years.
The McGill administration tried, and failed to block this Policy before the referendum vote even began. This administration will now - once again - do everything in its power to overturn the referendum result, in a desperate attempt to crush students’ unequivocal support for Palestinian liberation.
Our elected representatives in SSMU must ensure that the demands of their constituents are met. As our student union, the SSMU has the duty to resist threats from the McGill administration and defend the democratic decision of its students, following the largest show of support for a policy in SSMU’s history.
History has been made. With 31.6% of SSMU students voting on the Policy Against Genocide in Palestine, McGill students have broken the voting turnout record.
Our university’s administration must now immediately and publicly condemn the genocidial bombing campaigns and siege against the people of Gaza and cut ties with corporations and institutions complicit in the ongoing genocide, settler-colonial apartheid regime and ethnic cleansing against Palestinians.
🚨🚨🚨MCGILL STUDENT DIVESTMENT MARCH TOMORROW🚨🚨🚨
Join us in a student-led student divestment march on November 17th, as we respond to another national call for a shutdown for Palestine.
Our university is complicit in funding and upholding the occupation of Palestine, and we must rally together to denounce this complicity. Meet us at the Arts Building at 3 pm. ✊🏽🇵🇸
