That's a lot of time spent brushing! Here are some of our top tips for getting the most out of it:
🦷 Choose a toothbrush with soft bristles
🦷 Use a pea-sized amount of fluoride toothpaste
🦷 Brush for a full 2 mins, spending about 30 secs per quadrant
🦷 Hold toothbrush at a 45-degree angle to your gums and use gentle, circular motions
🦷 Clean the outer, inner, and chewing surfaces of your teeth
🦷 Swap out your toothbrush every 3-4 months, or sooner if bristles become frayed

But it's true—I love seeing the kids in their costumes and handing out candy (I even have a big sweet tooth myself). While the kids prepare for trick or treating next week, make sure you encourage them to keep up with their healthy dental habits like brushing their teeth and flossing. Taking care of our teeth year-round means we get to enjoy special nights like Halloween without having to worry too much about cavities!
