Just thinking about how often denial of reality of situations keeps me stuck in a cycle. Came across this quote. Felt like a great slap in the face to dig a touch deeper when my intuition is screaming.
I have just started reading Broken Toys Broken Dreams. It is an eye-opening read and an inexpensive resource if you can get your hands on a second-hand copy. As I'm reading I'm thinking about how many situations pertain to my own life. It is always humbling to take your inventory and have different perspectives so life-altering changes can be made.
I will be returning to providing in-person counselling and mental health services and body work at a limited client capacity due to Covid 19 recommendations and guidelines and to ensure the safety of clients, office staff, and myself. Clients are able to access counselling services online and can reach out to me via email or by phone.
There are lots of resources availible for those who are struggling during this difficult time. Please don't hesitate to reach out for help. Resources can be found at; https://cmha.bc.ca/covid-19/

On a more personal note I have found comfort in this difficult time with exercise and getting the dog for a daily walk or run. Being in nature has a profound impact on our well being. I have focused on little chores and projects around the house that I have been putting off for when I had the time. I have decided to read a few books that I have not gotten around too. I dusted off my guitar that I rarely play and am practicing 30 mins a day. I have been listen to podcasts that make me laugh out loud.
Most importantly, I have been in contact with my friends and family virtually checking in with them as well. Staying connected has been important for myself and our family.
