VMAC was proud to support this youth hockey jamboree for children ages 5 & 6, to help them purchase player awards🏆🏅 and food for the players and volunteers.

We had the chance to tour the warehouse and learn some facts about the organization:
🤝 30+ communities on Vancouver Island are served, including 15 Indigenous communities
🛒 Free food markets allow Loaves & Fishes clients to shop for their food in a market environment, and they also offer "drive-through" options and 3rd party pick-up, all free of charge
🚚 33 grocery store partners help reduce waste with the food recovery program, providing fresh, nutritious and delicious food to Loaves & Fishes 364 days a year (the only day off is Christmas!)
👩‍🌾 Food 4 Farms: any produce that is not fresh enough goes to local farmers for livestock feed
🐶 Pet food and toiletries are also available🐈
