At Mountain Peak Creations we pride ourselves on providing high quality cedar carvings at reasonable prices. Danny only uses Western red cedar to carve due to the quality of the finished product and its resistance to weather and insects. All of Danny’s carvings are finished with a Sikkens Door and Window product which help to seal and protect the wood from the suns UV rays and to keep the carvings looking fresh.

Our Story
What makes us different? Instead of using a full round log like many carvers do, we use a quartered or half a log and then kiln dry the carving when it is done. This will prevent the carving from splitting in the future. After the carving is dried we put on three to four coats of Sikkens finish so our carvings are made to last a long time. If it starts to look dry, a fresh coat of finish can be added but most often the carving just needs a good washing which can be done with a bucket of dish soap and water and rinsed thoroughly.
Our carvings are meant to last for many generations!
