👀We have had so many perfect games this year. We rarely see this happen....right everyone? 🤪

Our very own YBC bowler, Everett Hoff, competed in the Bantam Girls Singles event at the YBC Nationals in Ottawa/Gatineau earlier this week!! One of the tournament traditions is trading jerseys with the other competitors. Everett traded jerseys with Katelynn from Haileybury, Northern Ontario - check out the jersey exchange below! The girls in her division also gathered for this awesome photo!! It's so heartwarming to see this amazing show of sportsmanship!! Everett had an amazing experience in the National Capital Region and formed many new friendships. She can't wait to go again!!

NATIONAL BRONZE MEDAL!! Congratulations to our Junior Girls Doubles team on their bronze medal at the YBC Nationals is Ottawa/Gatineau! Lornita Phillips, Jessica McGee, and Coach Parry Harder competed over 3 days and 22 games, then ended up in a tie with the team from Southern Ontario for the bronze medal. In the tie-breaking game, Lornita bowled 222 and Jessica bowled 233!! It was VERY exciting, and we are extremely proud!! Way to go, team!!

Our teams had a great Vancouver Island Championships in Port Alberni!! The Brechin men’s team won the Men’s Team event! Team members are: Shawn Eby, Don Campbell, Stephen Leynard, Kaleb Wollan, Brayden Wollan, and Coach Dean Leyland. Brechin Bowlers who made the Tournament All-Star Team: Don Campbell (2nd Men’s All-Star), Mikayla Eby (2nd Ladies All-Star), and Carla Burgmann (3rd Ladies All-Star). Team Brechin also finished 2nd in the Aggregate. Way to go, team!!!

Proprietor appreciation post! The support of Ray Brittain and Brechin Lanes 5-Pin Bowling Centre has made it possible for the Pin Slayers to compete in the 5PL these past two seasons. We appreciate you coming in all those early Sunday mornings with the team, and always jumping in to help with any problems we ran into.

With the future of Brechin Lanes unknown, the future of the Pin Slayers is also uncertain. We are fortunate and grateful to have the opportunity to play two seasons at this great centre.
