Details:
Taking place from September 16 to November 17, 2024, this course features a blend of online and in-person learning so it’s accessible for working professionals. Clinical skills training takes place November 15 to 17 at the Nanaimo campus. Tuition is $1,850.

The course covers all the expanded duties to work in an orthodontics clinic and those who complete it can apply for the orthodontic designation with the BC College of Oral Health Professionals.

Course Requirements:
This course is open to certified dental assistants and dental hygienists. You must have at least one year of experience in a dental practice and will need to supply proof of your experience.

The Dental Assistant program is looking for clients for our Public Dental Clinic. Screening appointments April 30, May 1 and 2 for a 1 hour screening with a dentist and minor calculus removal followed by a treatment appointment for xrays, polish, fluoride and oral hygiene education. Cost is $20 for under 14, $25 over 14. Come out and support your local Certified Dental Assistant training.
