SACRED ACTIVISM: THE INTERSECTION OF SPIRIT, LOVE AND ACTION

​Sacred activism is the practice of taking “conscious action” in a way that integrates our spiritual beliefs with tangible actions. This form of taking action acknowledges that true change begins with each one of us. It encourages a spiritual awakening that fuels our efforts to address injustices and improve and preserve the quality of life on our planet. It is an approach that calls for both inner transformation and outer engagement — and the understanding that our contributions, no matter how small, can make a difference.

At its core, sacred activism is about recognizing the interconnectedness of all beings and the sacredness of life. It invites us to take a stand for what we believe in, from a place of compassion, love, and a sense of responsibility. When we take action on behalf of our Mother Earth, her land, her water, her people, or her creatures, we are showing others that we are willing to put ourselves on the front lines for a better future. Ultimately, each sacred act we take empowers us to be agents of change, fostering deeper connections with ourselves and the world around us.

At Shamans Directory we see an element of sacred activism in everything that we do, and this attitude shapes how we engage with the world. While the challenges we are facing on our planet can feel overwhelming, starting each day in ceremony, celebrating each small achievement, and holding the thought that everything we do contributes to the possibility of a better world, reminds us that positive change is possible when we act together — with perseverance, compassion, love and resilience.

and this transmission came through at a powerful Waka where the Eagle energy is strong. I love also how the rainbow Medicine came through with a spiderweb, showing me the power of creation and all the medicine within us all- ready to flower fourth with the many hues of the rainbow.

‘My name is Wanmbli Chante Winan. My English name is Kat McCooeye and I am an Indigenous trained Medicine Practitioner. I trained in the rainforests of Brazil (with Chore, Clotilde, Daka, Ipupiara and Cleicha) as well as in North America under Grandfather Wallace Black Elk (Lakota). I had the honour of apprenticing for years under my esteemed Medicine Teachers.

I have recently had the great blessing of meeting Eva Tree this past summer while I was in the Kootenays. When shopping for a shaman or Medicine Practitioner, we look for some one of great compassion and dedication to the betterment of humanity and all life. We look for someone who is knowledgeable, well trained, disciplined and who holds great integrity. In Eva I experience all of these things in spades.

Eva is fun, funny, humble, compassionate and very kind. Any traditional healer that is good at their craft is a person who has suffered their own wounds and have deeply engaged their own healing process to heal and remain committed to it.

When we have an illness, injury or disease, it is a reflection of our physical body alerting us of an imbalance in one or more of the various aspects of ourselves. Our bodies have a very specific language with which to communicate with us as spirits. Most of us have forgotten that language and require the support of someone who is trained in the ways of this sacred communication.

A traditionally trained medicine practitioner or shaman as they are often referred to, is trained in communicating with the various aspects of ourselves, different dimensions, time space continuums, past lifetimes etc. The shaman is able to activate our quantum field and reinform it with life enhancing and healthy resolutions that we ourselves discover with their guidance. They help us come home to ourselves.
I personally recommend Eva Tree as a health practitioner, and I have referred family friends to her. Anyone who knows me knows I would not entrust that responsibility to anyone lightly. If you have an ailment in your mind, body, spirit or emotions, give Eva a call for a consult. She will help you identify the source of disease or longstanding injuries and help you resolve the underlying issues/beliefs that the ailment reflects.
