CLS is committed to community inclusion and support for those with Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders. Though there are resources for families with young children and teens with FASD, there is a need for organizations like CLS to ensure that the necessary care that is provided to youth with FASD is extended into the rest of their lives. Tavian has been involved with the CLS Employment Services program since January of this year. Prior to joining our program he stated:

"I lived a sheltered life never leaving the house. I've never even ordered coffee or food for myself".

Tavian has made big strides in his independence. Recently he completed a work experience at Mark's Work Warehouse. During this work experience he said

"I feel so alive and a part of something bigger".

This is a reminder that even the smallest steps, lead to big things!

If you would like to learn more about our program as either a job seeker or you would like to be an inclusive employer, contact Simi Bate, Manager of Employment Services at [email protected]
