It is at this time of year our community feels Marty's loss the most as TOROS would be putting the final touches on their summer production and preparing for shows. We are so proud that we can celebrate her inspiring legacy through this scholarship.
Since we aren't able to come together and view this year's TOROS production, we ask you to join us in celebrating Marty and consider making a donation to the Marty Southcott Scholarship instead of your regular purchase of tickets.

It is the time of year that we would normally be putting the finishing touches on our annual TOROS production which brings Marty Southcott to the forefront of our minds.
While we unfortunately won’t be gathering for a show this year, we are hopeful that instead of purchasing tickets, you’ll consider making a donation to the Marty Southcott Scholarship Fund.

North Bay and Area Community Foundation
Today would typically be the Capitol Centre move in day for TOROS. Marty would have been in the leaders seat to ensure controlled chaos.
The next week would have been a whirlwind of excitement and emotions with amazing support from community audiences, technicians and all of the talented young performers.
Today, we are asking for your support to share this page with friends and family and ask them to follow/like the page.
We will continue to reminisce throughout “show week”.
Stay tuned for more upcoming information about the scholarship, the foundation, ways to contribute and how Marty’s legacy continues to support students on and off the stage.
* If you have any photos or memories of your experiences with Marty, please feel free to send them to the page.
Emily Sanders is the 2020 recipient of the Marty Southcott Scholarship. Her involvement in TOROS, Dreamcoat Fantasy Theatre, The Company, and more, make her a wonderful fit for this honour. Soon, Emily will begin her time at Nipissing University, to work towards her goal of becoming a teacher.
This is the time of year that TOROS would be wrapping up their most recent production. Marty was a driving force in our local arts community and is remembered fondly by those whose lives she touched through personal relationships formed, but also through the legacy that she left and the programming she created.
