Manual osteopathic practitioners diagnose and treat somatic dysfunction using manipulation of the patient’s bones, muscles, fascia, viscera, etc. A manual osteopath will focus on the joints, muscles, and spine. Treatment aims to positively affect the body's nervous, circulatory, and lymphatic systems. Osteopathy can help treat a number of disorders, such as: back pain, headaches, migraines, tennis
A few days ago I was out in the community doing a talk and spreading the word on Osteopathy to a wonderful bunch of ladies from the Iroquois Ridge Community Centre seniors club. Thank you for having me!!!

As I embark on this huge undertaking of being a student again I have a lot of thoughts and emotions. Should I do it, shouldn’t I, what will I gain, what will I sacrifice, etc. etc. But, I made a promise to myself that I will stay true to my inner voice that will guide me through this journey. I am excited, nervous, and looking forward to where this next path will lead me 😊
Happy September, I hope everyone has had a great Summer! I have some exciting news to share…! 😀🙌🏼
Starting this month I will be opening 2 Saturdays per month for osteopathy treatments. Treatments will be for 45 mins (please select this option when booking). If you would like a 60 min treatment I will do my best to accommodate upon request.
Thank you and I look forward to continuing to provide you with the best care 💆🏼♀️💆🏽♂️
"Listen to the Whispers Within: Embracing Soulful Healing” ✨💫
Even in the middle of life's chaos, our soul holds deep wisdom, guiding us towards healing and growth. It knows the way, but there's a challenge - silencing the mind.
In a world of endless thoughts and distractions, finding stillness becomes essential. Quieting the mind allows the soul's whispers to surface, paving the path to profound healing. It's about embracing moments of calm, stepping away from the noise, and reconnecting with our inner Selves.
Let's give ourselves permission to pause, to honor the soul's innate knowing. By opening to the silence within, we unlock the transformative power of self-healing, and move towards an alignment between mind and soul. - project happiness
I have this exact picture hanging in my bathroom and I see it every morning 🌅. It is a daily reminder to listen to my inner wisdom. Our soul always knows what we need, it’s a matter of allowing oneself to be quiet and still enough to listen 😉.
Have a ‘soulful’ day! ⭐️
I think it’s so important to keep learning and continually practice what I’ve learned. I make a point of attending regular study sessions and courses so I can continue to review and refine my skills. Thank you for hosting a great visceral review session this past weekend! 🙌🏻
Medicine can be found everywhere we look, and it’s free 🌲🏃🏻😴 🧘🏻♀️. You just need to tune into it and make it a priority.
“Structure and function are interrelated” - A.T Still.
One of the key philosophies of osteopathy. The mobility and freedom of an organ is what determines its functionality, NOT it’s position in the body. For example, if a uterus is retroverted versus anteverted, it doesn’t matter. What matters is that it is not restricted. When you restore mobility you restore function. This is where the magic happens 💫
VM4 Viscera Manipulation of the Thorax this weekend in Toronto.
Why do I continue taking courses every year (or multiple times per year) you ask? Because I consider myself a forever student. I believe my clients deserve to have the best informed practitioner working on them. This means my knowledge of the body has to be vast and current.
Also, I just absolutely love ❤️ learning and the more I learn, the more Osteopathy continues to fascinate me 😊

With the new year now upon us it is a great time to think about how we want our year ahead to look like. For many it could look like increasing exercise 🏋🏻♀️ eating better 🍏 getting more sleep 😴, reducing stress, or adopting a better self care routine ❤️🩹.
Whatever your goals are for the new year, make sure you make optimizing your health a priority! 💫 Optimizing your health could lead to reduced sick days, faster recovery from injuries and illnesses, better digestion, improved mood, increased energy, etc. etc.
If you have any questions on how to improve your body’s overall health and performance, please reach out and I’d be happy to speak with you more on how I can help 🙂.
Cheers to the new year and have a happy and healthy 2023!!! 🎊
Last night I had the pleasure of presenting to the Mississauga Hurricanes U18 and U15 AA girls hockey teams about the benefits of Manual Osteopathy, recovery, and maintenance. I had a blast and all the players I met were amazing! It definitely brought back some memories of being in their shoes 😊. Thank you for having me! and . Go Canes!!! 🏒 🥅

Getting ready for my next visceral osteopathy course VM3 with the Barral Institute next month 🤓 📖.
I always find it so fascinating when I am able to help a client who tells me they have exhausted every other avenue of and only to say that has been the one thing that helped them!
I love and am so grateful to have found this profession that is now finally getting the recognition it deserves!!! ❤️
These are real stats! I knew disc degeneration was a serious thing and I spend many of my sessions explaining to clients that as we age it naturally happens, but these results bring even more confirmation of that!
By age 30 disc degeneration is ALREADY 52%, and 80% by age 50! 😮. Similarly disc height loss and disc bulging or herniation is about 50% by age 40 😱.
If these numbers aren’t a wake up call to start taking your health seriously sooner rather than later then I don’t know what will do it!

Book your Remainder of 2022 Osteopathy Appointments now! Nobody likes a diet, so let’s spin it around. Instead of the word “diet” we’ll talk “nutrition.”
So… what kinds of things can offer nutrition, not only to your body, but to your mind, and not only to your mind, but to your soul? Whatever you take in - whether it’s food, information, beliefs, and even the people you spend time with, these all contribute to how you walk through life. Choose wisely: not only your food, but what gives you physical energy, what puts you in a flow state, even how you navigate disappointments, and receive joy.
Some things to consider:
Be aware of the effect of conversations you have with negative/toxic people in your life, and set boundaries as needed.
Spend more time in places and pursuits that make you feel safe, relaxed and good in your own skin.
Limit who you follow and what you read/ingest on social media.
Be conscious of how music, social media & film may affect your mood and outlook.
Surround yourself with people who lift you up, share your goals and 100% want the best for you.
Send a 👍🏽 if your physical, mental and spiritual nutrition matters, and if you’re ready to be the chooser in your life.

Did you know that April is Craniosacral Therapy awareness month? 💆🏻♀️
Craniosacral therapy is one modality that Manual Osteopaths use to help their clients with a number of ailments and body dysfunctions. The cranium houses the brain, the cranial nerves, and vessels that are integral to the overall functioning and health of the body 🧠.
A few ways Craniosacral Therapy (CST) can help are:
• chronic pain
• ear infections
• jaw pain
• migraines
• joint stiffness
• pregnancy problems
• depression
• autism
• anxiety
• dyslexia
• spinal cord injuries
• coordination impairments
• and much more!
If you think you or anyone you know could benefit from some CST, please get in touch with your nearest Manual Osteopath or CST today!
If you’re not doing these things and you are in or you think you are in perimenopause you may want to consider them to help with your symptoms 👍
*Side note, when I have caffeine it makes me gittery and more tired. Since substituting for coffee (and still enjoying that coffee-like taste) I feel a million times better and don’t get the post caffeine symptoms! I highly recommend Dandy Blend if you haven’t tried it and are looking for a coffee substitute. Bonus, it’s good for your liver too which helps with perimenopause symptoms 😀 ☕️ 🙌
