Double drop day II.

Part two of our features from the amazing team at El Paraiso is this amazing geisha!

Loaded with bright flavours of blue slushie and tropical fruits, with a sweet peach finish this coffee is magnificent on ice or hot.

Double drop day!

Today we are featuring not one but two new drops from our friends at El Paraiso. The first of which is the Sudan Rume.

Bursting with pink lemonade, rose water, mango red currant this coffee is an absolute flavour bomb that is unlike any other.

Available behind the bar and on shelves swing by today to grab yourself a cup or a bag!

At coffeed were always on the hunt for new coffee to bring to the bar, that's why cupping is so important to us.

Cupping is the closest you can get to tasting coffee objectively by mitigating as many variables as possible.

We cup coffee consistently to find new gems to put on the shelf but also to ensure what we have on shelf is up to our standards.

While the slurps may be less than appealing to some this method allows us to get the most out of each coffee we cup and is a staple to the coffee scene.

New Kenya ?

New Kenya !!

Hitting the shelves this week is our newesr addition to our filter coffee lineup, a double washed Kenya produced by Rungeto Kii.

This coffee is loaded with juicy nectarine, pink lemonade and cranberry flavours with a texture so silky you'll only really understand once you try it.

While it's advertised as a filter coffee it's flavours shine through on espresso as while making a perfect summer sipper so swing by today to grab yourself a bag or try it on the bar!!!

With some new friendly faces around we figured what better time then now to start with some virtual introductions to the coffeed family!

Starting with our newest employees Nourah and Phillip.

If you swing by while Nourahs working chances are she will have a smile on her face and a vanilla latte in hand.

Phillip on the other hand will have the focus of a warrior with a subtle smirk as he bumps out the nicest latte art you've seen and will have a flat white waiting for him on the back bar.

Both employees are well versed in coffee and are happy to chat and answer any questions you may have !

Hot summer? No problem now with our new bottled Cold Brew ! ❄️

Our cold brew is made in house with our Ethiopian Danche, loaded with peachy black tea flavours its one our most refreshing drinks yet ! The coffee goes through a multi level filtration process to ensure the smoothest drink possible ! 🍑🫖

Hitting the shelves this Saturday, swing by to have a bottle on the patio or take a few away to the cottage with you so you don't have to worry about bringing your whole coffee set up with you.

When it comes to roast profile a lot of terms get thrown around from light roast to Nordic to omni roast. While they all at their core are explaining coffee roast level the meaning of the terms vary greatly from shop to shop.

At coffeed we have the skill and willingness to cover the entire spectrum of quality third wave coffee, whether the customers want a dark roast or a natural funky coffee. Or they want a bright almost tea like geisha roasted as light as we can.

If you're a cafe owner, we can deliver what you ask for. We are more than happy to roast to your preference. At the end of the day we thrive to make the customer happy, so if you ever have any questions or inquiries shoot us a message and we'd be happy to help!

Ecuador Sl-28... This new drop on our competition menu is loaded with juicy flavours of blood orange, fruit punch and kiwi it is amazing both hot and ice!

BBQ Season is back 🥩🍔🌭

Coffeed dry rub is too ! Perfect to use as a dry rub on ribs, pork shoulder, pulled pork and more!

This rub features a mix of delicious spices and a 60/40 blend of our El Pariso's and house espresso which give a chocolatey and bursting fruity vibe with notes of cherry and lychee.

It's a hot gir... I mean hot sauce summer, new in our second iteration of our collaboration with . This sauce is a nice change from our v1 focusing more on fruity and tropical flavors, from our selection of a special blend of coffee to the scotch bonnets used. It's a beautiful sauce that lights up whatever you put it on without overstaying it's welcome. Available by the bottle or on our house sandwich, swing by to give it a go today !

New coffee drop ?!? With notes of plum, pomegranate, chocolate ganache, lemoncello and passionfruit it is safe to say that this is one of our most complex coffees to date. As the cup cools down it's profile completely shifts making it a delicious yet puzzling coffee that is still a smooth sipper that will go down easy. The varietal was developed to gain higher yields however the creators were so impressed with the flavor they submit it to the Corrado Mineiro regional awards and placed in the top 10. Hey Everyone! We have new in the fridge from their 4th anniversary lineup, including a few collaborations they’ve worked on with other great Canadian breweries.

A big part of our concept was to have expertly made coffee infused beers available for our customers to enjoy. We will have more and more of these available as we continue to develop our beer offering. We will also balance this by offering other styles, that are produced by breweries that place the same emphasis on the quality of their beers as we do with our coffees. Third Moon is one of those breweries.

The team at Third Moon work extremely hard to release fresh beer on a weekly basis. When you drink one of their beers, you are consuming an experience, one that will take you into deep thought about its profile. The kind of beers you take out to share pridefully with friends and family, or drink when you are looking to appreciate some fine craftsmanship. Our goal is to give you the best that Canada has to offer.

Espresso tonic season is back! Made fresh with our house espresso, poured over ice with your choice of mango or grapefruit juice and finished with tonic. While it may sound crazy the mix of flavours balances out perfectly for the ideal summer drink. Best enjoyed outside...don't believe me though swing by and try it for yourself !

Pour-over or over pour ? We have both ! With the warm weather finally showing it's head now is the perfect time to swing by and grab an iced pour over or a beer from the delicious selection of we carry.

This dripper may look a little different from a v60 but that's what we love about it. This week we will be featuring the mugen dripper alongside our thermal shock bourbon from Columbia for the pourover of the week. The mugen dripper is a single pour brewer meaning all the water is poured upfront and left to drip down. Combined with this coffee we found it highlights the sweet fruity notes. Both the mugen dripper and the coffee will also be available for purchase!

From the get-go, we wanted to give you an elevated coffee experience, and that includes some killer coffee-infused beers. Third Moon knocks it out of the park with all their brews, and their coffee stouts are no exception – trust us, they’re a game-changer! We’ve got two versions ready for you to try.

If you have been around our store or instagram you may have recently seen our new competition pour over menu. So we thought we would give a little background as to what the competition menu is. Our competition series begins with the highest quality green beans from farms all over the world. These farmers would usually consider the lots we purchase to be amoung their highest quality coffee, from the sub-species of the coffee to the method of processing.

When we gets the beans here in Canada it is up to him to roast them to the perfect level to extract the optimal flavours out of it. Usually this means a lighter roast. From there we make a pour over at the bar ( available in hot and cold), this allows the highest level of accuracy when extracting the coffee. While flavours will vary from coffee to coffee, we can guarantee you will have a unique experience with each coffee that will expand your idea on what coffee can taste like.

So come on in and grab a competiton pour over and see what all the hype is about. If you're lucky we may even be selling the beans in small quantities on the shelf.
