Beat the heat with two new hydrant water fountains, set to be ready for use on June 13 - just in time for parade! Located in our downtown event zone, each fountain will be attached to a fire hydrant, providing the same safe, reliable drinking water that comes out of our taps. The fountains are designed with both human and dog-friendly capabilities, ensuring that everyone, including our furry friends, stays hydrated. Their efficient design also means that they can be quickly disassembled with no impact on fire response.
The fountains will stay covered until the provincial labs confirm the water samples have passed all required tests. Once we receive the all-clear from Alberta Health Services (AHS), we will remove the covers, flush the fountains, and have them ready for use.
