Marc et moi avons marqué la fête du Canada 🇨🇦 de manière différente cette année! Chères/chers amies/amis, collègues, clientes/clients et connaissances qui aiment nager en eau libre.
Comme vous le savez peut-être, Marc et moi nous nous rendrons en Écosse au début du mois de juillet pour nager (en relais, avec le plus jeune des trois frères de Julie, Leigh, ses deux filles, Anna et Fiona, et une amie d'Anna) la longueur du Loch Ness.
Cette aventure est un projet (et un rêve) de Leigh, qui y travaille depuis plusieurs années déjà (projet retardé à cause de la pandémie).
Leigh a monté un site Web pour l'occasion (https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/leigh-carter-1) qui décrit le projet et qui permet de faire des dons à deux très belles causes (santé mentale, et santé/réhabilitation des rivières en Angleterre - où habitent Leigh et sa famille).
Notre nièce, Fiona, architecte et artiste très talentueuse, a dessiné cette superbe illustration pour l'occasion, qui sera imprimée sur des bonnets de bain en silicone en vert fluo (pour une meilleure visibilité et donc plus de sécurité en eau libre 😉). On s'entend que le prix (15 livres sterling) pourrait sembler élevé pour un bonnet de bain, mais la totalité des fonds recueillis s'en vont aux deux bonnes causes mentionnées sur le site Web. Et, si l'option de recevoir le bonnet de bain par la poste n'est pas disponible pour ceux qui habitent en dehors du Royaume Uni, cela nous ferait plaisir - à Marc et à moi - de vous en rapporter avec nous à notre retour au Canada.
La dernière date à laquelle une commande éventuelle (à partir du Canada) pourrait être placée est le vendredi 7 juin. Ce message vous est envoyé sans aucune pression, et seulement parce que nous croyons savoir que vous aimez nager en eau libre!

Dear friends, colleagues, clients and acquaintances who enjoy open water swimming.
As you may know, Marc and I are travelling to Scotland at the beginning of July to swim the length of Loch Ness (in a relay, with the youngest of Julie's three brothers, Leigh, his two daughters, Anna and Fiona, and a friend of Anna's).
This adventure is a project (and dream) of Leigh's, who has been working at this for several years already (the project having been delayed due to the pandemic).
Leigh has created and set up a crowdfunding website for the occasion (https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/leigh-carter-1) that describes the project and allows followers to make donations to two very good causes (mental health and the health and rehabilitation of rivers in England - where Leigh and his family live).
Our niece, Fiona, a very talented architect and artist, has designed the following superb graphic for the occasion, which will be printed on fluo green (for greatest visibility and therefore safety in open water 😉) swim caps. If the price (15 pounds Sterling) might seem high for a swim cap, all of the funds raised go to the two good causes mentioned on the website. Furthermore, if the option of receiving the swim cap by mail is not available for those who live outside the United Kingdom, Marc and I would be really happy to bring any ordered swim caps back for you upon our return to Canada.
The last date on which an order can be placed (from Canada) is Friday, June 7. No pressure at all is intended - if you are receiving this message it is because we are aware that you enjoy open water swimming!
