What most people don't realize about weightloss is that you *do need to create a calorie deficit* in your daily calorie intake.
Wholesome eating and intuitive decisions are great to make healthy food choices, but are not enough to cause weight loss.
Weightloss DIETS can be wholesome, high in protein and super nutritious.
Disclaimer: You may need to consume morethan 1100 kcal per day. This post is to show an example of a healthy, high protein, low calorie one day plan. Refer to your nutritionist to learn the correct amount of calories for your body.

Disclaimer: I am not talking here about people with a nutritional deficiency due to a medical reason or those who have a very severe one. Those people might need supplementation at first in addition to a healthy varied diet.
❌️ Diet Myths ❌️
Read why👇
1- You should not eat as much protein as you want. Consuming very large amounts can cause kidney problems, elevated uric acid and can raise your cholesterol levels (mainly animal protein). Recommendations for healthy people are 0.8-1g per kg per day! Refer to your nutritionist to learn how to incorporate that into your diet.
2- Plant based milks do not necessarily lead to faster weight loss. On the contrary, they are usually lower in proteins and higher in fats and carbihydrates than cow's milk. I usually like to use oat milk in desserts and coffee because it gives a nice flavor, not for the purpose of weihht loss.
3- This is a huge topic, not that mindful eating is not effective, on the contrary, it is veey effectibe but not without a proper healthy calorie deficit!
4- Gluten free diets are not for everyone. People with celiac disease or sensitivity (intolerance) to gluten should avoid it. Otherwise, you will be missing on wholegrains and B vitamins if you avoid healthy gluten containing food. Most gluten free food is made with corn or potato flour, which are very simple carbohydrates (low in fiber).

This cake is so good!
Banana Almond Flour Cake
Recipe by :
3 bananas (ripe and mashed)
2 cups almond flour
1/3 cup maple syrup
3 large eggs
2 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 tbsp olive oil
Chocolate chips for topping
Mix all ingredients and spread on a bking sheet in a rectangular pan
Bake at 180 C (350 F) for 20 minutes.
Ready in 5 minutes and perfect for weight loss!

Yesterday, we held our first nutrition workshop at
Dr. Julie and I enjoyed educating these wonderful people on cholesterol and weightloss. They also had the chance to do a body composition test and discussed the results with me in one-on-one sessions.
They were guided to fill out a food frequency questionnaire and food journaling prompts, which helped them reflect upon their food choices and habits.
In 2 weeks, I will meet again to evaluate the changes they have done to their meal plans and prepare a healthy dessert recipe together!
They were an amazing group that had so much energy and information to share and exchange ❤️

It is very essential to monitor your child's growth by assessing their weight and height.
Weight and height are markers of the adequacy of their nutritional intake: whether or not they are meeting their requirements from proteins, fats, minerals and vitamins. (My daughter being very careful here not to miss on her nutritious snack 😅)
Nutritionists can help you do that by accurately measuring them and using CDC growth charts to plot and monitor their growth.
These charts can also give an idea of the child's height and weight as he or she grows up.
