❄️WAXLESS XC SKIERS❄️⚠️PSA⚠️
I just wanted to put this out there as I get asked the question a lot.
"Do waxless skis need to be waxed?" -Yes, absolutely.
It is a common misconception that you don't need to wax your waxless skis.
There are a few different types of waxless skis, the style shown below which are "fishscales" and "mole hair". However, originally, if you wanted to do Nordic XC skiing, you would of had to put "Kick Wax" in the grip zone. ( Same spot that you would have the fish scales or mole hair) Which is a sticky wax intended to allow you to push off. A waxless ski, refers to kick wax. You do not need to apply kick wax in order to get the grip you need to push off. You do still need to glide wax the tips and tails, and the best choice is to get them hot waxed.

While we wait for the results of a DNA test we thought it would be fun to have a raffle where you can guess his breed! The prizes are a free standard tune-up from us, or if you have a dog, a bath and nail trim by our neighbors Underdog Grooming.

Tickets are $2 each and all proceeds go to Lexi, an RCMP Officer in Iqaluit who rescues dogs by finding them homes in Ottawa.

Hey! Important announcment!
This is the last week for bike service! So come by soon if you need something done, because after October 31st I will not be taking anymore bikes!
Don't worry if you have a bike dropped of before then, I'll be finishing everthing I have in storage.

Take care of your bottom bracket! This one hasn't been serviced in a decade, the grease was congealed!
There was so much dirt in and around the bearing that it couldn't do it's job! Luckily for the classic Shimano BB, and the customer, there wasn't any large debris inside so the races were still in good shape. After cleaning everything, re-packing the bearing cages and race with grease, the bearing were actually spinning with little resistance again!
Your bottom bracket is your silent supporter, it will take a beating and grind for a long time before it starts to audibly complain. Please don't let it get to that point because by then there might be no saving it!

This is an older bike, around 1980s or so! But everything works great! I saved it from the graveyard so someone could enjoy it!
