The Bank of Canada (BOC) has cut the overnight lending rate by 0.25%

This will have an immediate effect on those who have variable mortgages, as well as those with Home Equity Lines of Credit / floating variable rate loans. We're talking minor reductions in carrying costs, but it's not nothing.

It will NOT directly affect fixed mortgage rates, nor pre-approvals for mortgages.

The biggest effect that it may have is in the sentiment of the market. Buyers may see this as a start to many drops, and feel confident in considering making a move because the economy appears not to be gettng worse.

Consumer confidence is a bigger factor than we give it credit for...

1st day of June!!

I picked the strawberries 🍓 for my monthly picture because today was our Brokerage's Picnic, and it was held at the amazing Proulx Berry Farm, which is one of the BEST places to pick,... you guessed it, STRAWBERRIES! 🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓🍓

They also had cute baby goats and bunnies!

A fabulous day, and a wonderful event put on by our owner and the management of our Brokerage.
My kids enjoyed the games,🎈, food 🍿🍨🍔🍓, pony rides 🐎, and animals 🐐, 🐇, 🐑, 🐔, 🪿

And it was a beautiful 🌞 day!!
