Ranger is looking for his forever home ❤️
He is about 15.2h and 22yrs old. He would love a family where he can take care of kids and be their first horse as he is very slow and steady.
He would also be a great therapy horse. 💕
He needs a dry lot and low sugar hay.
Prefers soft footing for walk and sometimes trotting.

DON RICO - FEB 10 2002 - AUTUMN 2023

It is with a heavy heart that I share the sad news of our beloved Don Rico's passing last fall. From 2003 to 2017, Rico made Centaur his home, leaving behind a legacy of numerous beautiful offspring.
Throughout his time at Centaur, he lived a life of freedom, sharing his fields with his mares, and occasionally their foals, with Lucy holding a special place as his favorite. His lasting legacy manifests in the many talented horses still competing and bringing joy to their owners. Rico's presence will be dearly missed, but his impact lives on through the remarkable horses he sired.

As circumstances led us to step away from the breeding scene, I embarked on the search for the perfect home for Rico. A breeding farm in Alberta offered an ideal setting, allowing him to live outdoors with his own herd—a prospect that thrilled me. Preserving his freedom was a priority, as too often stallions are isolated from other horses with limited outdoor time.

Regrettably, a few years later, Rico found himself in a new home in Nova Scotia. Despite my attempts to visit him last summer, his new owners were busy and unavailable.

Rico was the epitome of gentleness—a rare horse that would cuddle without attempting to nibble. While he didn't engage in frequent competitions, when he did, he emerged as a champion. His memory will forever hold a special place in our hearts.

BRAVEHEART 2000 - 2024

Braveheart was Danika's first "own" pony.

He arrived at Centaur as a 4 year old. He came from Walter Kahrer's. Walter, an exceptional horseman, had found him in a field, thought he had the kind of movement that I would like - he was right - and just dropped him off for us to try out. Boy! could Braveheart move!! Definitely a keeper. He was still unbacked. Our first challenge was backing him - he turned out to be a bucking bronco. And it took a veeeeerry long time for him to settle down to become Danika's first "own" pony. One big reason that I loved him for Danika, besides his personality, spectacular movement and natural self-carriage, was that he had the bounciest trot on the planet. *That* would teach her to sit!! And it did! Danika was the first of many that he taught throughout his life. One FEI dressage judge referred to him as the pony who thinks he 's a Hanoverian.

BravyGravy was Monica's favourite for a long time, and he taught her well how to sit. Braveheart became a school horse afterwards, and taught many more: how to be alert, and to be still. He was always the sweetest and won many hearts.
I visited him last summer at the farm, where he stayed on with some of his buddies after I moved, and he was the first to greet me from his paddock. I had a hard time getting a good picture because he kept pressing his head against me. Danika Guertin-Pierson Monica Kulas
