🎉 to Riley of St. Peter High School for being selected as a Canadian Ambassador of Bilingualism with FNJA (Forum national des jeunes ambassadeur·rices) for the 2024-2025 term! Next week, Riley will head to Edmonton, joining 34 other ambassadors from across Canada. He will proudly represent the , participate in leadership workshops, and prepare for his exciting project that will take place next March at his school.
During the next "Mois de la Francophonie" in March, supported by educator Véronique Bélair, Riley will lead a school-wide cultural day, "Un voyage au cœur de la francophonie," inspired by Disney's EPCOT World. French classrooms will be transformed into vibrant francophone countries where students will host and explore, experiencing rich traditions, music, dances, cuisine, and history. With a Francophone Passport, they’ll collect stamps and learn about cultural preservation. Way to go, Riley!🌟🌍

This event was an opportunity for over 100 secondary students to get together, build a supportive community, participate in workshops, ask questions, and share ideas. "HEART" stands for "Humans Expressing Authenticity, Reality, and Truthfulness." The event featured a beautiful performance by keynote speaker Makhena Rankin Guerin, an Anishinabe Two-Spirit Hoop Dancer. 🌟
