We’re celebrating Pride this month. It is the season to recognize the hardships people within the S2LGBTQIA+ community have gone through. From ‘Gay Day’ in August 1971, to the first Pride Picnic in 1986, to today, Pride's history and culture have left their roots in not just Ontario’s culture but Canada’s culture as a whole.

They just won top performer at this year's Momentum Dance Challenge held at St. Patrick's High School, we present to you another guest performer: No Excuses!🏆

St-Pat's "No Excuses" Dance and Step Team formed about 12 years ago and have been performing for school events and some outside of school activities.

The team works very hard in the dance studio after school, is supervised by dedicated teachers, and is run by dedicated student coaches. They pride themselves in showing unique choreography and creative themes and scenarios while incorporating various styles and stepping.

We can never have too many champions on one stage 🤩 Come cheer them on at LabO on June 1st‼️

We’re back for day 2 to celebrate National Volunteer Week! Today, we’re shouting out Mohammed Hamdy, our Director of Operations at CS Charity!

Mohammed has been volunteering since 2011 and says being a volunteer “creates a cool bond that isn’t easily found elsewhere.”

While volunteering at his local community program, Mohammed found that “it has this very nice, tight family-like bond” that goes to this year’s theme of Every Moment Matters. Thank you, Mohammed, for all you do for CS! 🙌

Hey CS fam, we’re back celebrating National Volunteer Week 🎉. Today, we’re celebrating Phil Nguyen, one of our dancers on Afta Shock Ottawa!

By looking at the theme Every Moment Matters, Phil helps dancers at CS find their way out of their comfort zones on their journey as dancers. He does this by “giving back to the community… using this opportunity to help guide others who are new to Showcase and inspiring them, motivating them and help leading other dancers through the show.”

Thank you, Phil, for being such a dedicated volunteer for CS! 🌟
