Huge win for Ontario’s dogs!

The OHS, on behalf of the Ontario Animal Welfare Network and in collaboration with multiple animal welfare organizations, submitted amendments on Ontario’s PUPS Act to define more clearly what a puppy mill is. This Bill has reached Royal Assent and is now law.

Puppy mills are not just bad breeding practices. They are now defined by the conditions in which dogs are kept. This important distinction will further protect dogs from unethical breeders who do not provide their animals an environment that adequately supports their well-being.

We’ve made a great step in the right direction, but much more needs to be done. Changing animal legislation is possible with the support of people who care.

Now Hiring! Hiring Full and Part time positions for Commercial and/or Residential Drivers. Drivers must have a G Class License and clean drivers abstract. Experience in Commercial and/or Residential Moving is an asset. Preference will be given to Drivers with 3 and 5-ton driving Experience.

Drivers will be required to manage jobs, crews and to participate in manual labor of the Job. Job requirements can include heavy lifting, lots of walking, climbing stairs and other challenges of endurance and strength.

The nature of the industry prevents us from scheduling specific hours required to be worked. Although we try to schedule 8am-5pm working days for the most part, work schedules can include long and/or irregular hours. We are closed Sundays, and typically schedule our teams for 5 days in any given work week from Monday to Saturday.

All Staff are expected to be reliable and punctual. We offer competitive wages, Group benefit package and employees are properly pay rolled (ie. deductions, WSIB, overtime, holiday pay, Vacation Pay etc..) Employees are paid weekly via direct deposit. We do not pay cash.

Expected start date: as soon as possible

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
