In May, I took a lilac sensory-filled drive down Long Point Road to capture a beautiful new renovation. Trevor and his crew at Sage overhauled this home with warm hardwood and we installed 2x2’ Realstone Slate series in Black for this clean, classic look. The perfect way to get that “slate” look, without all of the “slate” upkeep - can you tell it’s porcelain? (Part 1)

Meet Brian!
You’re guaranteed a daily dose of laughter when on site with Brian. Sometimes I have to ask him, “how are you always such a happy guy?” (And I like to think I’m pretty optimistic). His response would be something along the lines of, “Well what do you mean? Why wouldn’t I be happy?” woven with his sense of humour, alongside a sense of seriousness.
Brian has played a significant role, as one of our main installers, at Alota Tile for over 10 years now. When he’s not tiling, Brian is enjoying time with his wife and daughter, or testing his luck on the water and hey, the guy knows how to catch a musky. 👌

I am extremely happy with the work Alota Tile completed during our major house renovation. They provided and installed tile for our entranceway, three bathrooms, laundry room and fireplace. Alota provided excellent support and patience with the tile selection process. Prior to starting the install, Rusty (owner) asked thoughtful questions about design and layout as well as ensured that we understood the various options and approaches. This was to ensure that expectations were completely aligned. We had some intricate design and layout details for our front entranceway and ensuite bathroom, in particular. I cannot say enough about the excellent quality of the tiles, the install and the workmanship. We dealt with many contractors over our large renovation and Alota was right-up there as one of the best. We could not be happier with the final result! I would not hesitate to recommend Alota Tile.

Tile tip: cement tile is a natural, porous product which has to be treated with sealer every few years, this is to prevent any absorption (stains 😱) into the tile.
