The official birthstone for September is sapphire. Known for its striking blue colour, sapphire jewellery has been associated with royalty and nobility for thousands of years, and is popular in engagement and wedding jewellery as well as birthstone jewellery.

While strolling along the sidewalks around Walton and John Streets to view the store windows, especially those competing in the Fall Fair Window Display Contest, I discovered .ca on John Street. Curiosity prompted me to enter, and I was impressed by the beautiful interior and charming staff. The butter tarts were delectable, with excellent pastry, and the variety of offerings, including mini cupcakes, sandwiches and cheeses to name just a few, was impressive. After I gifted the team at Ed Hepburn Jewellers with butter tarts, Joan Hepburn was immediately over to "French Affair" to purchase the quiche, which was a hit. We were tempted to return and sample more. We plan to visit again and highly recommend this exceptional find.
