This offering is a bespoke blend of light and medium roasts of the same bean to invoke a sense of inclusion and appreciation for the innate qualities of what is sometimes considered an “everyday” coffee.”⁣

We were brought into the world of specialty coffee through a love of coffee and community, and the ways by which the two are intertwined. We saw our love of coffee as a medium by which to apply ourselves in pursuit of socioeconomic equity.⁣

We love the coffees produced by Nasa U’Y because they are bright and complex, yet have the body and character that are foundational to a classic cup of coffee. Nasa U’Y is a perfect bridge-building coffee - a testament to the foundational relationships that make the production, import, roast, and distribution of the coffee itself possible!⁣

As the coffee industry grows and develops, we hope to see it move to a more equity-focused structure - where there’s a critical awareness of privilege and risk in relationship-building. We hope to see a specific and tangible commitment to long-term relationships from coffee buyers become the norm.⁣

3. The 33rd annual Cathedral Village Arts Festival Street Fair takes place on Saturday, May 25th from 10:00am to 5:00pm. It is set to be a wild and wonderful day and we can’t wait to be a part of it for the first time ever!⁣ Are you joining us?

4. Local deliveries and shipping via our online shop are still on hiatus. Sorry! We ran into greater logistical hurdles than anticipated while integrating our online inventory system with our in store system. Once the Street Fair is a wrap, it will be a top priority. ⁣

Still can’t quite believe we get to call Cathedral Village our community. We’ve been so warmly welcomed and we’re so grateful to be here!!

Speaking of edifying local partnerships… We lean on the talented and trusted expertise of some of the city’s finest for our baking:

🧡 🧡 On Wednesdays and Fridays our friends at Saltine satiate our savoury yearnings with their delectable scones. Two options are gracing our baking counter: a classic, Herb + Cheese, and this month, Za’atar + Beet + Goat Cheese

🧡 🧡 FIVE days a week Kerri has been knocking it out of the park with a wide range of treats (regular and gluten-friendly) for our friends with a taste for the sweet and decadent. An always staple is the Biscoff Blondie Bar, and new on the menu this week - the gluten-friendly Lemon Cranberry Muffin!

We are so grateful we get to partner and connect with such incredible businesses as we serve those who come through our doors.

We are SO excited to finally welcome you into the shop! As we ease into this next phase of the business, here are a few things to note:

- The full menu will be rolling out over the coming days and weeks.

- While we’ve been preparing a LONG while for this, the shop is still in its infancy. Please bear with us as we find our rhythm and work out the kinks.

- Deliveries will be on hiatus for the first couple weeks of storefront operation as we get our bearings. They will return though! (Subscribers, deliveries will still make their way to your doorsteps. Stay tuned to your delivery reminder emails for adjusted delivery windows.)

After an exciting whirlwind of a soft run today, we quickly snapped what was intended to be a cute keepsake. It turned out blurry, which honestly, is spot on 😅

Attention all Carter mug culties! Slide-Lock lids are now available for individual purchase on our website (in four colour ways!)

Slide-Lock lids are a nice addition to the mix for those days you need quick one-handed access to your coffee supply. Like the OG lids, they don’t leak - unless you overfill them, but we’ll leave that up to you.
