Square flavours are: Apple Crumble, Cranberry Orange, Lemon Meringue, and Candy Cane Quintuple Chocolate Brownies. Choose all one flavour, one of each, whatever you like! Cookie flavours are: Ginger Molasses, Triple Chocolate, and Monster. Pick up is December 23, in Richmond. Time TBD. These must be ordered in advance, just like the challahs. What can I even say??? What an amazing day at Christmas Craft Fair! It was crazy, it was busy, it was wonderful. And helped out for the first time. She was seriously amazing. We’ll see if she comes back, or if we scared her off 😂. And yes, the last photo is of a grilled cheese sandwich that my lovely husband made for me last night. Because after baking for a bazillion hours, all I wanted was a grilled cheese. And he delivered 😁

Two days! We’re only two days away from Christmas Craft Fair! We’ll have all your favourite goodies, including cranberry and white chocolate cookies, candy cane brownies, and pecan crunch pumpkin muffins! Come say hi!

A couple of gorgeous cakes for a couple of gorgeous mamas. First up: our famous chocolate cake with chocolate ganache and salted caramel for a special lady who turned 99! I’ve been making her birthday cake for years now. Next up: this lovely lady’s one request was CHOCOLATE! Just a chocoholic’s dream. Chocolate cake, chocolate ganache (are we seeing a pattern here?), and chocolate cream cheese icing. Holy cow. I could’ve eaten that icing with a spoon (and I did). I really do adore making cakes for these ladies.

I struggled really hard with posting again. How can I post pictures of cake when my people are under attack? But, as my friend pointed out, this is my business. And to me, food is love. The one where I finally get off my butt and start posting cake photos again. A themed gender reveal cake? Oh, heck yes I can do this. The hardest part was only doing four quotes!

One week post challah baking, post final market baking, post husband having Covid and being put in quarantine while I single parented and did all aforementioned baking. And what have I done this week? Cleaned my house, read five books, and did this awesome puzzle. It’s been a week of quiet. Deserves quiet.
My son asked me the other day why I do the challahs when it’s so much work. I told him it’s a labour of love, and also, that it’s a huge honour and privilege that I don’t take lightly. Knowing that so many Rosh Hashanah tables had my challahs on them; knowing that people all over the lower mainland were blessing my challahs is such a tremendous honour. So thank you for your support again this year. Thank you for saying again and again that my challahs are so delicious. Wishing all who celebrate a sweet, happy, and healthy new year. May we all be inscribed in the book of life. If you are fasting, have an easy fast.
I think my next puzzle will be dogs.

The husband had a birthday and of course, we made him a cake. His only request (which hasn’t changed in fifteen years)? The chocolate cake. This year we made it with perfect silky, smooth chocolate buttercream and vanilla mint icing on the outside. It looked like mint chocolate chip ice cream and tastes oh so delicious 😋

When it’s cherry season, one must make Black Forest cupcakes. Chocolate cupcakes, amarena cherries in syrup inside, and fresh whipped cream. All topped with the cutest chocolate dipped local cherry on top. 🍒🧁
