This weekend (August 12-13th) Sanctuary will be donating $1 of every sold item mentioned in the post, to . Stop by and help support Maui as they face one of the largest natural disasters the state of Hawaii has ever had.

Supporting our friendly neighbours Athiana Acres, a new, organic, regeneration farm in the heart of Steveston!

This team of passionate people are taking it from conventional agriculture and turning it into an ecosystem of biodiversity. They grow a wide range of mixed vegetables, herbs, flowers and fruits.

They’re hosting Saturday markets at the farm from 9am-3pm, where there’s a rotating list of special vendors that join for each market. Currently there’s a French style ice cream truck here to stay throughout the summer, that features the farm’s products.

Simran and Daniel are always around and excited to meet more neighbours, talk about the farm, and share their passions and vision for the property. Come check it out!

Today marks our 5 year anniversary. Much has changed and a lot has been endured over the past five years, but the philosophy has not changed. Slow down, enjoy the coffee experience and savour the company of your friends at the cafe.

By definition, “Sanctuary” is a place of refuge, a place where people can feel safe and welcome. To many, our cafe has been that to them.
