Two weeks ago, we were shocked to learn that one of our own had passed away so unexpectedly. She was our co worker, our friend- and our employee for almost 4 years. She was the hardest worker , with a kind heart, a bashful smile, and she always had an ear for her coworkers to bend and a shoulder to lean on. It’s been incredibly difficult moving thru these last two weeks without her.

Today we will be honouring her in two ways- part of our team will be working at the cafes where she loved to be among the guests & coworkers - the teasing, the smiling, the laughs and the hustle were all that she thrived on when at work- and part of our team will be attending her private memorial- we ask that you hold space for her memory today and honor all she was to us all.

We haven’t quite been ourselves these past two weeks, a loss like this is hard to move thru- she was a special part of both our cafes and teams. You may have noticed things have been a little “off” but while we dealt with our grief a little more privately and allowed her own family time to process we shared stories , tears and laughter. Not every day was a smooth- but together we are getting through. .

Tina we all miss you. We sure wish things could have been very different- and want you to know how much we all truly cared for you. Today, we will celebrate your life - and offer our support always to your loved ones and always hold your time with us close in our memories.

Just a few of our team are feeling under the weather- so our kitchen will be closed until 10:30 am - and only lunch items will be available for the rest of the day- we’re sorry for any inconvenience- we still have all your fave drinks and plenty of fresh baking to choose from.
