Choc’laCure and Huskie Men’s Hockey Present: Hockey Fights Cancer in Support of the Cancer Foundation of Saskatchewan and the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. 🏑✨

Join Choc’laCure and Huskie Men’s Hockey for an evening in honour of Huskie Hockey Alumni, Cody Smuk, as we raise money to fund cancer treatment equipment.

Game Day Includes: a Ceremonial Puck Drop, Chuck a Puck and a raffle. All proceeds from Chuck a Puck and the raffle will be going towards the purchase of a TBI Couch at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre.

This event holds a special place in our hearts as we honor Huskie Hockey Alumni, Cody Smuk, who showed incredible resilience in his fight against cancer but sadly lost the battle in 2015. ❤️

Game day will be filled with exciting activities, including a Ceremonial Puck Drop, Chuck a Puck, and a raffle. And here’s the best part: all the proceeds from Chuck a Puck and the raffle will go directly towards the purchase of a TBI Couch at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. 🎟️🛋️

With heavy hearts, we say goodbye to Shelley Gregg, founder of Choc'laCure. She will forever be remembered as an inspiring, caring, and compassionate woman who devoted her life to her family and improving the lives of those who faced cancer treatment in our community. So pleased to see and hear about the new CT Simulator at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. Choc’laCure contributed nearly $500,000 to the purchase of this vital equipment. It was truly a community of donors that made it happen! THANK YOU!

What does this incredible group of people have in common? They were just some of the donors that were crucial in the purchase of a brand new 4D CT Simulator at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre!

On Sunday, staff of the Foundation and the Saskatchewan Cancer Agency were fortunate to welcome these donors into the Cancer Centre after hours to see the remarkable impact their gift has made.

Thanks to the generous support of these donors, $1.5M was raised to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in our province.

With this equipment, medical teams are able to plan and deliver radiation treatments to a cancer tumor even more accurately than ever! Every patient that requires radiation treatment will use this new simulator.

Our 2021 Choc'laCure campaign continues to raise funds for a new Afterloader at the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. This equipment is used during high dose rate (HDR) brachytherapy treatments to deliver more targeted internal radiation, in a shorter time period, without damaging surrounding tissues and organs.

Our 2020 Choc'laCure campaign in support of the Saskatoon Cancer Centre has concluded and we have a total!

We are happy to announce that we raised $55,000 during this campaign!

Since Choc'laCure began in 2007, we have raised over $2,950,000 for the Saskatoon Cancer Centre. We can not Thank You enough for your continued support, especially over this past year. Our total would not have reached this level if it were not for the efforts of community support such as the the 50 Cups Hockey Tournament in January and the Dutch Growers Photo Shoots with Purple Stone Photography, as well as generous donations from community members.

2020 was definitely a year of obstacles. We were not able to host our two fashion shows in support of Choc' la Cure but we did manage to host photo sessions safely with the incredible Purple Stone Photography! 🌟

For us, we’re still basking in the glow of our dedicated supporter that we nominated for a National Philanthropy Day Award through the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) last week.

Our incredible partner Choc’laCure, one of Saskatoon’s premier events, was awarded the “Honoured Supporter” Award.

Choc’laCure has raised over $2.89 million for the Saskatoon Cancer Centre since 2007 to support cancer patients in our province.

We know this year is different but we send our heartfelt congratulations and a big thank you to them for being a community leader.
