Last Thursday, our very own Sandy Robb gave an amazing speech about asking questions and searching for answers. Sandy is an adventurer and shared some of her experiences with us, including her adventure trekking Everest Base Camp. Sandy described feeling frustrated during her climb and feeling like she was not making a lot of progress, until a fellow climber encouraged her to look at how far she had come. Looking down from where she was, Sandy realized she needed to enjoy the little moments and the journey rather than focussing all of her attention on reaching the destination. Sandy provided us with insights into the lessons she learned on her trip - lessons we all can apply to our own lives! Last Thursday, Chuck Gallozzi gave a speech about whining and complaining. Every great idea and invention came from dissatisfaction, so problems are opportunities. It's up to you to change it. One may find the problem in a solution, and others may find solutions in each problem. Complaining and whining either get nowhere or brings out the creativity in you. In order to not get stuck where you are, you can instead take action by finding solutions. Keep in mind additional solutions to find the best one. See it as an adventure and a challenge, be an explorer!
Here are the questions we discussed in our zoom meeting: What opportunities are hidden in the problem? What can you do to improve the situation?
