It is with great sadness that we share the news that our founder, Gordon S. Wood, passed away peacefully on September 12, 2023.

He passed his skills as an optician down to his employees, Rob Dickinson and Evelyn Kopton-Fearnley, who eventually purchased the business in partnership upon Gord's retirement. Rob and Evelyn in turn passed these skills down to the next generation of Gordon Wood Optical staff, Kam Tung Ip, Ruth Almond and Angie Stoneman who are proud to carry on Gord's legacy as an optician to this day.
