It is with profound sadness and heartbreak that we announce the passing of my father, Peter Allan. After an almost 10 year heroic battle with cancer he passed at home surrounded by family. You are invited to celebrate the life of my father Peter Allan on Sunday, September 22nd, 2024 at 20 CherryTree Dr Brampton in the party room.
A day late! Wishing my sweetheart a lifetime of health, love and happiness on her 9th birthday. I just love who you are Mya!! Everyday is an adventure with you sweetheart and a blessing. Here’s to endless adventures, cuddles, laughs and love together. We love you so much!!
*** Stitches in second slide don’t swipe if that triggers you!***
It’s been a wild ride! I’m almost 7 weeks post surgery now for a fully ruptured Achilles’ tendon. It’s been quite a journey. There have been tears, fear, pain, gratitude and hope. Still a long road ahead but starting to pop my head back out into the world slowly make my way back to teaching and training.
I could never have gotten this far without the support and help of my husband and my daughter. They literally had to do everything for me at the beginning and continue to do so much. As well as this wonderful community of friends, students and clients. My amazing Body Boutique community who continue to give me the honour of allowing to be a part of their fitness journey and give their endless support. It is so deeply appreciated.
Love you all so much. I feel like we have been through so much together!
To all the people who visited, dropped off food, gift cards, wrote me notes, shared their own recovery stories with me, checked on me I can not thank you enough for how much that helped me and lifted me spirits. Not going to lie I know there are way worse things and my heart goes out to everyone dealing with those but this had a big impact on me, my family, especially my parents who need me right now to help, my spirits and my livelihood.
Another big thank you to my family and .primalperformance and of course and Thank you for finding and continuing to find endless subs for me, for offering help, cards, flowers, drop in’s and kind messages of support. To for sending all the amazing and helpful supplements to support my recovery. I am so grateful!
Also thank you to my surgeon Dr. Carlos Lopez for his skills, kind nature and really going the extra distance to make sure I was ok. A wonderful human and doctor.
I’ll be taking it slow but I will be making a come back. Thank you ❤️

⚡️Have you taken class with Kim?⚡️She's in demand and we only get her once a week, but she's a bright light of goodness, humour and expertise on Thursdays at 9:30am for SOUL BURN.
You can also get her 1:1 for pre/post natal personal training, take one of her Burlesque workshops, or request her for your private party or bachelorette! Yeah, girl's got a lot of tricks up her sleeve💜.
BIG shout out to Kim! She's been in the fold for some time and she's just superb. We are grateful to have her on our team.

No matter how much I say I love you, I always love you more than that.
Oh and PEI we miss you! You’re both always so good to us! Great summer get away.
Loved putting this together for one of my favourite Canadian premium supplement companies . HIIT training is always one of my favourite ways to train! Give it a try and let me know how it goes!! Movement for Everybody and EveryBODY!!
Amen !! I started dieting in 6th grade. I gained a lot of weight in puberty, my dance teacher let me know I was fat and so did classmates all throughout my grade school
Days. Teased and taunted as my best friend was very thin. They made up songs about us fat and skinny went to bed fat rolled over and skinny was dead. This song still plays over in my head to this day. My body has been through so many changes and so has my life! It’s funny I want to accept it all but the world does not want me too. The world wants me to think I am less than because I gained weight, because I have aged, because I no longer have perky breasts after 4 years of breastfeeding. But I try not to buy into it. I’m just me. Trying to be a good person, do the right thing, love my family and friends, raise my child to be the best person she can be and to make a difference in a small way in the world in the ways I know how to. I always try to help other’s see their worth, value, strength, ability and help them to love themselves and their bodies. I do this through fitness and dance. This is how I teach and where everything I do comes from. It’s not just exercise to me it’s release , it’s empowerment, it’s freedom, it’s worth and value. If no one has told you lately you are powerful, beautiful in every way and capable beyond your thoughts. A body is an awesome, magical place to live in. Respect it, nourish it, move it and love it back. But remember it is no where close to who you are. All shapes, Sizes, cultures, and abilities deserve love, health, education, equality and freedom. You are worthy of love and happiness no matter what package you are in. Just try to be a good person ok? Xo
I can not believe the day is here and my baby is starting Grade 1 today. Wishing all the kid’s and teacher’s out there a safe and happy return to school! I know, I know it’s the moment we all waited for but I miss her!!
Photo dump #1 from a fantastic much needed family vacation!! Great memories made, laughs had, and adventures taken, incredible food eaten. So grateful for this time and thank you to the most amazing sister in law xo
Casual morning Mother’s Day cuddles with my love. Nothing and no one has ever brought me more joy and love. Challenges every part of my being and fills my heart till I think it will burst. Grateful every day for this sunshine. Mya you are the light of my life.
This day can be such a mix of emotions for so many. I see you and acknowledge you. For those who have lost babies and children, for those who yearn to be a mother, for those who have lost their mother, strained relationships with mother’s, to those who have chosen to not be a mother and to those who mother and raise other people’s children. I send love to you all.
Thank you to my own mother and to all the women who have “mothered” me along the way. Happy Mother’s Day to all strong, brave, inspirational mama’s!! I celebrate you!! Xo
Huge thank you to for the amazing prize packs they sent to our winners and all Body Boutique Bootcamp participants for our most attended live zoom classes.
Just that little bit of extra motivation to get to class, see our community members and get moving made all the difference CanPrev!
I did some research on what aspects of health participants were interested in supporting and the results were unanimous! Everyone was interested in supporting immune health, managing stress and anxiety, controlling inflammation and helping with muscle recovery. This is a true testament to the times we are in and how much movement has shifted to not being driven by how we look but how we feel, how we can manage our stress and staying healthy. These truly are the best reasons to move!! Exercise/ movement is medicine.
Thank you CanPrev for creating and sharing with us a wealth of Canadian premium supplements that can help support these health and wellness goals! We 💙 love you!
As cold and flu season approaches I wanted to share these with you again. Before the change in the health assessment for school regarding having a runny nose Mya spent a week at home due to having a runny nose for one day. The rest of the week was spent waiting for covid results (which was negative). I made these right away and gave her a great probiotic for kids from . You can mix the probiotic in water, juice or just sprinkle it on their oatmeal or cereal. Good health starts in the gut! These are fantastic and kids love to eat them! And super easy to make.
・・・
I made my own medicine for Mya! Making these gummies was so much easier than I thought. I got this awesome recipe from naturopathic doctor and mom of 3 extraordinaire. Check her out for other great healthy ideas. Safe for little ones and most kids love gummies so easy for them to take and no tears over medicine.
Steep 2 bags of Cold Formula tea in 2 cups of boiled water for 10 minutes. This great combo includes
Licorice - antiviral, immune boosting, expectorant properties
Hyssop - antibacterial, expectorant
Yarrow - antibacterial, anti inflammatory, anti anxiety
Ginger - delicious, warming, anti nausea, analgesic, anti inflammatory
Mix in 3 tbsp’s of Elderberry syrup concentrate - tasty, immune stimulating, cold and flu fighting, antioxidant, anti allergy. I bought mine at well.ca
Add a few tbsp’s of raw honey - proven to more effective at stopping cold symptoms than over the counter cough syrups. Then mix 1/3 a cup of unflavoured pure gelatin . I used the beef one and in the orange container. This is like collagen powder, but not hydrolysized, you want this one to gel. This adds a huge protein component - making these little gems actual nutritional powerhouses! Mix together, pour into little silicone molds and allow to set in the fridge. Takes approx 20 min from start to finish.
They were a big hit in our house!
When I was preparing to have Mya I did not put half as much thought into my postpartum recovery as I did into preparing everything for her!
As mom’s we are often found thinking of ourselves last or not at all. Birthing is one of the toughest physical and mental events of your life. Your postpartum body will need a plan to rehab, recover and strengthen. So little care and direction is given to mother’s after they give birth. All the focus is on the baby. Let’s help educate mom’s on what they can do to heal, recover and reclaim their bodies again!
Check out the link in my bio for the full piece featured on website https://orangenaturals.com/blog/preparing-for-postpartum-care-a-road-to-recovery/ for some helpful tips for your recovery. We want women to not only have empowered birth’s but empowered recoveries too!
///WORKING PARENTS POST!!!///
This has been such a crazy time for parents. Blessed to have more time with their kid’s but how do you work and keep them happy and entertained while you have to work and run a household? How do you not feel guilty for working?
I am blessed to have such an amazing crew of women that I teach that support me and understand sometimes a mama just has to do what she has to do and bring their little one. Mya has been having fun learning from these awesome women and being inspired to do what they do! Shooting virtual workout’s, returning emails and creating programs not so fun.
What are your tips for keeping them entertained while you work or for ditching the guilt?
P.S. these bird dogs with banded tricep kickbacks are no joke! Give them a try!
What kind of world do you want to go back to? I know so many of us are eager to go back to “normal” but was normal really working? Let’s take this opportunity to invest in green solutions and create true equality. Repost from
What would you like to see as the new normal?
Truer words have never been spoken. Know your worth, when to forgive and when to move on. You are worth it and there’s someone out there who knows it!
I will be supporting this! There is a huge gap in the quality of maternal care for Black mother’s. Let’s raise awareness and help bridge this gap. Being a mama is hard. Birthing a child is hard. You should not have too worry about the quality of your care due to your skin colour. My friend has been raising money to support through the sale of her Batch cookbook. All proceeds of her recipe book are going to . Please check the link in her bio!
This resonated so strongly with me. I am not very vocal on social media and struggle with social media just In general. I will often only post once a month. I have struggled so deeply with all the injustice and murder of George Floyd. It has ignited a flood of horror, anger and heartbreak in me. Every time I even try to talk about it I break out in tears. As I type this know I am starting to cry. I realize my tears do absolutely nothing and this post actually gave me a good reason to post. I have always been an ally to black people since childhood. So many friendships and relationships over the years. In my own quiet way I learnt and got educated about their struggles and in my own quiet way tried to help. I admit now my quiet way and deep empathy is not enough. I have learned and I promise to continue to learn that I can do more. I will start by posting. In my everyday life I will continue to love and welcome all races into my heart and home. I will continue to teach my child about love and the evil of racism. I will continue to use my vote to help shape equality and safety for black people. I acknowledge my white privilege. I mourn for all the black mother’s out there that have lost their children to racist acts of hatred. I will now use my voice more to stand up to protect and include black people. I want you my friends, people I love, black people to feel safe, to have justice, to be represented at the table, to be able to use your voice for everything and anything freely. To have equal health care as white people. To be treated in every aspect as the equal, beautiful people you are who help make this world a better place. Please know you are loved. You are valued. And you will be fought for. I will continue in all the ways I can to fight with you and to learn everything I can. One love to all. I’m going to do better! Are you with me?
How did you find the energy, Mom
To do all the things you did.
To be teacher, nurse and counselor
To me when I was a kid.
How did you do it all, Mom.
Be a chauffeur, cook and friend,
Yet find the time to be a playmate,
I just can’t comprehend.
I see now it was love, Mom.
That made you come whenever I would call.
You’re inexhaustible love Mom
I thank you for it all.
To all the Mother’s out there doing their best in these unprecedented times I wanted to say you’re doing great mama!! Hang in there.
To my child who made me a mama, my love has no limit and no end.
For my mother thank you for your tireless love, devotion and worry. You gave me the gift of passion and loving with everything I have.
For all the women in my life who have Mothered me thank you. I am forever grateful for your love, guidance and friendship.
The power of Mothering will change and heal the world.
Happy Mother’s Day!!
MAMA’S!! Did you know once you are postpartum you are always considered postpartum?
It doesn’t matter how long ago you had your baby or teenager! I am teaching an amazing class through to help heal issues from pregnancy and birth no matter how long ago.
The Bump Method Postnatal programs combine Pilates and pelvic health research with functional training.
The Bump Postnatal Method teaches women how to connect to their deep core and pelvic floor, how to fix bladder leaks, manage prolapse and heal diastasis recti (commonly referred to as separated abdominals). Discover how to reclaim your strength and confidence after pregnancy. Plus it’s a real workout!! You will be sore!!
I have struggled with so many issues after having my daughter such as diastasis recti, scar tissue, adhesions, inability to use my core causing herniated discs, incontinence and more. As I worked on healing myself it became a passion of mine to help other mom’s regardless of how long ago they had their babies.
Sound like something you could use to reclaim your strength and function??

Parents need something to do with your kid’s over the next 3 weeks?🤪This was so fun!! We played this for 45 minutes this morning. This is a great activity to do with your kid’s! Mya just turned 5 and this was perfect for her.
I asked her to spell any word she wanted (I had a feeling p**p would make it up there 😆). We set a goal of completing 5 words she actually wanted to do more so we did. I would have her locate the corresponding letters and read the number and activity associated with it. Then we performed the activity/ exercise associated with it together. She did all the spelling and writing herself (I did help her sound out butterfly though).
This activity is so easy to adapt to your child’s needs. You could just focus on the alphabet or just on numbers. You can also choose the activity that is most suited to your child’s age or ability as well. You could even just pick 5 activities and keep repeating them for younger kid’s etc.
What I loved about this, we got to exercise, work on numbers and letter recognition upper and lower case, writing, counting, spelling and we laughed!!
I have learned along the way doing crafts and activities with Mya at home to be flexible. Allow them to just have fun with it and roll with whatever is happening. Somehow we always did 39 bunny hops and in a circle because that’s what she wanted to do.
Enjoy!! Let me know if you try it!! You could also adapt this easily for a bootcamp class or your own workout. And if any parents have any suggestions please feel share!! Always looking for good ideas.
I can’t stress enough how much I believe fitness/ movement is for everyone. I support all fitness levels in my classes. It doesn’t matter if you’re a beginner or advanced we can all move together and support one another. I can not thank these incredible women and all my students enough who come and take my classes for their hard work and dedication. This group in particular is such a team. This is how a class should be to me. No cliques, rooting each other on, laughing at how hard it is, truly happy for the other person who is on their own journey with their fitness and wonderful body in any size or shape. I really think we are one of the most diverse fitness classes you will ever see. Our common thread is we want to take care of our very special, unique and powerful body so we can keep kicking ass in life and be strong. I’m just a trainer but what I really do is help women soar! Look at these women just killing it!! I love them. More importantly they show love to themselves by making this investment in their health. That makes me so happy!! ❤️💪
