Lisa Merchant is a FOUR TIME Canadian Comedy Award winner. Three of those wins are for “Best Female Improviser! …and you can study with Lisa by taking a class at The Second City!

It’s Monday and you know what that means… Mainstage Memories! This one is of and from 2003’s “Bush League of Justice”

Aurora and Carolyn went on to co-create five incredible seasons of on CBC alongside Meredith MacNeil and Second City Toronto Alum Jenifer Whalen.

Take a class with Cihang Ma! You will recognize Cihang for playing Michelle on Departure, Detective Kai Huang on Hudson & Rex and as the voice of River in Rubble & Crew, which is part of the Paw Patrol Universe! Cihang is an alumnus of The Second City Toronto Bob Curry Fellowship and is currently teaching Acting AND Improv at the Second City Toronto Training Centre. If you wanna sign up for a class, I think you should. If you’re hesitating, let us know why in the comments below and I’ll do my best to answer you but not oversell you on anything. Just two people having a casual conversation about improv, improv classes and life, y’know? Anyway, I’ve digressed… Cihang is the best! Three cheers!

Tony Award Winner Bob Martin and Canadian Comedy Legend Teresa Pavlinek.

Bob Martin won a Tony Award for co-bookwriting The Drowsy Chaperone. He also co-bookwrote the Broadway musical adaptation of the classic holiday film Elf, co-created the TV show Slings and Arrows, and co-wrote The Prom (both the Broadway musical and the film which you can stream on Netflix)

Teresa Pavlinek created and starred in The Jane Show on GlobalTV, was a regular on Schitt’s Creek (CBC) and American Gothic (CBS) and is one fourth of the legendary sketch comedy troupe Women Fully Clothed.
