The original concept was released in the mid 90s and pushed boundaries as one of the first mountain bikes to incorporate rear suspension - not to mention was crazy to see disc brakes on a bicycle

This model was later released as a promo with Mercedes in 1999 and was features in their brochure for the ‘M’ class mode SUV

Here’s a little history about the bike and it’s creator Horst Leitner:
AMP RESEARCH MOUNTAIN BIKES In the 1990s, Leitner turned his attention to innovating in the mountain-bike world, creating the now-legendary AMP Research full-suspension bikes. Characterized by Leitner’s revolutionary four-bar articulating front fork, energy-saving Horst-link rear suspension and the first cable/hydraulic bicycle front disc brake, these ultra-light, all-aluminum bicycles set the standard for mountain-bike technology. AMP Research also produced similar Mercedes-Benz bicycles, which were marketed through Mercedes-Benz dealerships in the United States and Europe. Leitner later licensed the Horst-link technology to Turner and Specialized Bicycles, which is the design foundation of their full-suspension mountain bikes.

After 13+ years I have decided to close my physical gallery locations…. It has been an incredible journey to say the least :) My passion for the arts and fostering local talent does not end here.
