The Junction
“This neighbourhood’s transformation from an area dominated by warehouses and factories into the city’s latest hipster hangout has been remarkable. Gastropubs, offbeat clothing shops, cutting-edge design stores, and a weekly farmers’ market attract young urban professionals and trendsetters.” ~ Tourism Toronto, 2017
Anchored by the intersections of Dundas Street West and Keele Street, the Junction Business Improvement Area stretches along Dundas Street West between Indian Grove and Quebec Avenue. As The Junction transformed from an industrial neighbourhood at the edge of the railway junction, artists and creative workers helped establish the neighbourhood as an eclectic artist enclave and design district. The Junction now boasts over 220 small businesses that include shopping destinations for unique art, furniture design, home décor, vintage and antiques. The area is home to organic food stores, juice bars, bakeries and vegan restaurants and has a multitude of health and wellness options and beauty services for residents and visitors alike. At night, the neighbourhood comes alive as its many restaurants and bars create a buzzing nightlife. Night and day, the Junction is a vibrant and exciting neighbourhood. #JunctionTO
