The body functions as a system.
All moving parts work together – we cannot just look at one part.
Traditional Healthcare has become divided instead of holistic.
And to break away from all the noise & misinformation –
I created The Core 3 Tenets to Wellness, to guide us:
1. Be Strong
2. Move Weird
3. Get Treatment
The thing is... we should take health into our own hands.
We’re living in it day-by-day.
Our body is our engine, our temple, our everything.
It gives us signs that we need to slow down: stress, overwhelm, anxiety, body pain, gut issues.
These are all signs.
Let’s care for it.
In future posts, I’ll be going deeper into these tenets and how to maximize each of them.
Just remember: Take care of your body and your body will take care of you.
Great things are coming this year.
I’ve been wanting to go bigger for a while…
To grow BC Wellness to the next level by
- Serving clients better,
- Expanding the team and services,
- Providing a next-level of value & education that will allow you to take control of your health for the years.
Because the truth is… we’re living in a stress epidemic.
Lots of us feel constantly overworked, overstressed and overwhelmed.
This causes our body to function in a way it’s not designed to.
Don’t get me wrong. Stress is natural.
Just not for an extended period of time.
You can think of it as a car…
You can’t run a car at 70% throttle all the time.
Constantly pushing and pulling your foot off the gas.
You need to shut it off, let it cool down, do maintenance…
For it to last years.
Our Bodies are the same.
Thing is… with so many forms of stimulations of this modern-day era (endless coffee, bright screens, long work hours).
It’s difficult for the body to fully shut down.
The great thing about learning how to take care of yourself, daily, is:
You minimize the chances at more serious issues later down the road.
Plus the added benefit of living happier & functioning at peak performance.
On my next post, I’ll be sharing The 3 Core Tenets to live a longevous life.
Be on the lookout for that in a couple of days.
Talk soon,
Brandon

Back to the office today! After a long two years I’m heading back to an office. I partnered with them to provide treatments to their employees in their workplace. A bit of self care in the office never hurt anyone. Also a great boost for morale and great reason to head into the office.
What’re your plans to help recover this weekend?
Happy St Patrick’s day everyone!!! Why not book yourself in for some recovery tomorrow to help nurse the hangover?
Treatment with the best views in the city? Absolutely!!! 😍
Dealing with that desk always requires a bit of digging in to the and the not so pleasant in the moment but we’ll worth it in the end
Another great muscle to work on when dealing with is the it’s often overlooked as it’s a bit of a challenge to get into but is definitely worth it.
Trap and lev scap work! Areas in much needed love after a long day or week of who could use this on ?
Lat work is absolutely crucial to helping relieve the aches and pains of working at a desk for your 9-5. These muscles are one of the key contributors to that hunchback posture we all end up with by the end of the working day. Like if you could use a good lat massage
Who could use this after a long week?
Who’s up for a treatment with a view? Just opened up my availability at a new office in First Canadian Place with quite possibly some of the next views in the city. Now available for bookings on Thursday and Fridays. Jump on drlauren.janeapp.com to book.
Another installment of getting a good stretch and sub occipital work is always crucial to starting the week off right.
Massage Monday. Who could use a good neck massage? One thing I’ve noticed especially since the life took over is how gummed up people’s chests and necks have become. Making regular visits to get some manual therapy a must. Especially if you’re finding you’re getting more tension headaches than you used to.
Forgive the day late posting. I figured I’d let everyone recover from last night and try to cheer at least one person up today. Congrats to for winner the 60 minute treatment! Thanks for everyone who started to follow and tagged their friends. I’ll be doing a lot more giveaways throughout the summer.
This is a nice little trick I picked up a few years ago. Put a piece of tape on your work station with “POSTURE!” Written on it. No matter how good we think we are with posture we could always do with a reminder over the course of 8 plus hours of sitting. Tag a friend you think could benefit from this tip. I will be giving away a free 60 min treatment to one of my new followers in the month of May.
Now that you know how to strengthen and stretch when out of the desk. Now to stretch and strengthen at your desk. The trick is to give yourself a double chin (luckily the beard hides mine) This Is a great stretch to relieve some of the muscles that are constantly strained with that posture a few posts back. It also helps to work to strengthen the little guys in the back to help keep your head in the optimal position. Tag someone who you think would benefit from this tip. At the end of the month I’ll be drawing a winner out of my new followers for a free 60 min treatment.
This is how you look working from home. This is what causes upper cross syndrome. To put it simply, this is why your back hurts. Your shoulders roll forward, your neck cranes towards the monitor and end up looking like a caveman. I’ll be posting tips to combat this posture and to help with your back pain all month. Tag a friend you think will benefit. I’ll be giving away a free 60 min treatment at the end of May to one new follower!
Me:
“Why’s my back hurt so much” Also me: 👆🏻 POSTURE! It may not be the sexiest topic to talk about but I definitely believe it’s one of the most important, especially after the year we have all had. All month long I’ll be dedicating my posts to ways to help combat the WFH posture in my second pic. Follow me and tag a friend you think would benefit from some tips and trick.
I’ll be choosing one new follower at the end of the month to win a free 60 min assessment and treatment.
