New menopause education sessions that help you connect with others going through the same life transition. Group sessions help you hold accountability and learn and gain support from your peers. Together we will cover some of the biggest challenges of menopause so you can stay informed on all treatment options and move through this time with confidence and grace. A FREE event (on May 10th) celebrating how walking connects us to our communities and each other.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝗽𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗮𝘁𝗲?
Enjoy the many physical, social and mental health benefits of connecting with members of your community in a gentle, friendly walk. You also get to visit Kiwanis Park which is a small but picturesque park located in the west end of Truro ideal for walking and jogging, picnics, photography and watching the ducks. There are multiple benches along this paved path and 2.5 laps around the pond is equal to 1.6km.

𝗪𝗵𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝗹𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴?
Walking is the most underrated form of exercise! Science shows that placing one foot in front of the other leads to some seriously impressive mental and physical benefits. Walking, and especially walking in groups, is the perfect activity for a person’s physical, mental, and social well-being. Connecting with people in your community and moving your body means you are better able to do the things you love.

𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗾𝗶𝗴𝗼𝗻𝗴?
Qigong (pronounced chee-gung) is based on repetitions of sets of movements, designed to benefit health on many levels. Even a few minutes of practice can have an invigorating and rejuvenating effect

- 11:00am – Welcome.
- 11:10am – Walk around the pond at your own pace.
- 12:00-12:30pm – Qigong class with Jenny Blacklock of Eastern Tides.

Simultaneously experience the harmonic resonance of crystal bowls and tuning forks with the deep relaxation of a gentle acupuncture and hot rock treatment.

The harmonic sound waves travel throughout your body resonating with the metal of the acupuncture needles. This dynamic combination of healing modalities will transmit healing vibrations deep into the body’s tissues.

Acupuncture and Sound Therapy both work on the premise of promoting physical, emotional and spiritual balance by enhancing free flowing energy/ Qi 氣 within.

You will be taken on a deep journey of relaxation and inner discovery.

Kirsten Compart is Certified Sound Therapist and Registered Massage Therapist.

Jennifer Blacklock is a Registered Acupuncturist.
You will receive a receipt for your acupuncture treatment which you can use to submit to your insurer for reimbursement.

Payment of $100 can be made on the night of event.

Please bring Yoga mats, a blanket, water and wear comfortable, loose fitting clothing.

Doors open at 6:45 and event begins promptly at 7:00.
