Just another gorgeous day in Maui. Shooting here really sucks!

A surfer rides above me at Ho’okipa, Paia, Maui June 16, 2024. What a great day of shooting today in the water. Really frustrating when you can’t get focus because you’re being tossed all over the place and camera seems to want to focus where it wants. Completely different from shooting other sports where you’re mainly stationary, but slowly starting to get the hang of this water photography thing, including all the bumps, bruises, leg cramps and coral scrapes all over by body and feet that go along with it. My body is not used to moving this much. Practice, Practice and more Practice! I’m up for the challenge. 📸 More photos at press.shotbug.com/surf
