Today is Moose Hide Campaign Day, a powerful movement against gender-based violence.

Originating from the heart of British Columbia, the Moose Hide Campaign is more than just a movement; it’s a testament to the power of grassroots efforts in fostering change. But why Moose hide? For many Indigenous communities, it’s not just material - it’s medicine, carrying deep cultural significance.

At Taseko and Gibraltar Mine, we’re proud to stand in solidarity with this vital cause. That’s why we have provided all our 700+ employees with Moose Hide Pins, sparking conversations and spreading awareness about ending gender-based violence. Together, let’s be the change we wish to see in the world.

Beyond energy transition applications, copper is one of the most widely used metals in the world.

In 2035, total US demand for refined copper is expected to be almost twice (1.8 times) that of copper demand for energy-transition-related applications. At the same time, copper refining capacity in the United States has fallen since 2000, meaning the country is becoming increasingly reliant on foreign producers to meet its copper needs.
