*Improving Access, Understanding, and Dignity during Post-miscarriage Recovery in British Columbia, Canada* is a community-based research project that is inviting people who have lived experience with miscarriage(s) and live in BC to participate. With the purpose of advancing health research on post-miscarriage recovery, access to integrated healthcare services, and equitable employment standards in BC, the research seeks to identify obstacles, as well as pathways, to support people during miscarriage recovery.
The project is supported by Rana Van Tuyl, a woman with lived experience of miscarriage and a Doctor of Social Sciences candidate with Royal Roads University. Today is a day to listen, learn, reflect and act. To hear the truths of survivors, and as colonial settlers, recognize our role in reconciling injustices. We seek to honour the lost children and survivors of residential schools, centre indigenous voices and address the inter-generational impact of the residential school system, and ongoing colonial oppression.

Over two years ago, I created and started to facilitate a monthly perinatal and infant loss bereavement support group on zoom. It has flourished into a well attended, tightly knit, warm, safe, welcoming group of individuals who have experienced loss. Together we share and explore the forever shifting and changing journey.
We will be starting a 6 month series starting in October which is Perinatal and Infant Loss awareness month. It will be co-facilitated by wonderful RM . If you, a friend, client or somebody you know might be interested in signing up, please share and/or contact me for more info or email me at [email protected] At this time, there is no cost associated with the sessions.
