When Littles reminded me it is that time of the year again, to bring home their fave mini egg icecream cake from 🐣🐥
One of many shots taken while shooting for Tourism Whistler. Always fun when I get the opportunity to make a beautiful mess. ❤️
Pretty in Pink for 🩷 And yes, I can shoot light and fluffy lol
I am sure by now you’ve seen many posts about the pretty BLUSH pop up, happening until February 29.
Always love it whenever I get to style + shoot, and to do more than just standard product shots. A lot more new style + shoot projects this first quarter and cannot wait to share here. 🥰🥰
Love Pluvio restaurant + rooms, so happy we managed to drop by for a bit last week ❤️
Being in a small town, on a tiny peninsula, on the furthest west coast of an island, with only one road through the mountains to get here, certainly has its own unique challenges!
It is also what makes this place incredibly special and unique, and Pluvio would not be what it is if it were located anywhere else.
So yes, the road closures to the coast are frustrating and it is not an easy place to get to even on a good day! But for those willing to make the effort, we promise you it is worth it to discover a place unlike anywhere else. And for those of us that choose to live here, the rewards far outweigh the costs!
Earlier this year we gathered up a selection of the edible plants we are growing on our property or that we could forage within a short walk. What an incredible abundance we get to work with, and this was only the start of the season!
How many can you identify?!

In love with Cathay 國泰‘s newly opened lounge. We grew up flying Cathay Pacific back and forth HK> Taiwan so it was extra meaningful to continue to experience one of our fave airlines. Will share more soon. ✈️

When DH gets spoiled. 🎂
If you have been following my stories, then you must know even though I don’t like to make a big deal on my birthday, but I go ALL OUT when it comes to my little fam.
That heartfelt feeling when DH has been spoiled by my beloved clients all week, including this surprise luxury takeaway prepared by team .
Each nigiri might seem simple in my photos but I assure you it is nothing but, as each fish was handled with extra TLC, including special aging, curing and cutting techniques. And I love now Chef works directly with fisherman in Shimane, Japan so it is as fresh as you can get and I was in awe with the special catch I tried for the first time.
Don’t get us even started with his sushi rice. DH was all smiles and once again our hearts are grateful for all the kindness, and acknowledging all his BTS support of my work so I can continue to be stubborn and picky, and work with like-minded individuals and businesses.
Note: To maintain the highest quality of service for in-restaurant diners, they may limit on takeaway orders so please put in your requests early.
That tear dropping moment when we discovered a lot of my mama’s old sketches from her teenage years this past week.
Born and raised in Taiwan, and growing up with a father who loved playing the saxophone, listening to operas (while running his own business), my mama was into poetry, writing, music, and art at an early age. Later on became a banker, married my dad in her 30s (very uncommon then), and moved to Hong Kong. She had to leave her life in Taiwan behind, and later once again to Vancouver.
Seeing these sketches reminded me of all the fond childhood memories, of her taking us to art exhibitions, orchestras, waking up by playing her fave piece, and putting us in all the art and music classes possible. I might not have appreciated it as I was growing up. As I am older, I begin to understand why.
Through art and music, she hopes to connect with us because that’s what she knows best. Dad spoils her, but I always knew she missed her independence, and would always tell us not to give up our career, and continue to pursue our dreams.
It is so hard to see parents growing old, but also a reality that time spent together is precious.
Although I haven’t quite mastered the art of doing nothing, I do enjoy rare days like today, when I am present, didn’t touch my camera/computer (for work). It hasn’t been possible as I’ve been working through my weekends, but it was great waking up naturally this morning, and enjoying quality time with my loved ones.
, one of the most requested restaurants to visit in our household, also one of the most frequently asked places by publications to go in for assignments.
That was a good morning shooting headshots for some PICA students ❤️
Meet Kate Gonzales
📸
A self identified lifelong learner, Kate's journey at PICA in the Baking and Pastry Program was about spreading her culinary wings. As a proud Filipina-Canadian, she expresses her roots through Filipino food. There’s always a thought of - what can i do better? In 2022, Kate competed in the Apprentice of the Year competition and knew she wanted to take on new challenges. In the pastry kitchen, she had a great experience trying all sorts of new techniques and learning the science behind the skills. She loves to connect with like minded chefs, and also create colourful visions, that will soon be showcased during her upcoming pop-ups. She hopes to unite as well as lead by example for the future generations of young cooks, as well as empower more women in the kitchen industry. She is eager to be a part of the new change in the kitchen industry.
Nothing warms her soul like a good bowl of soup or a meal at . Stay tuned for her next fun pop up event in the spring/summer!
I don’t really eat sandwiches, but will definitely consume the ones created for , as each ingredient is handled with so much care. Don’t even get me started with their house made focaccia bread. It is that good. Currently, they have their sandwiches on rotation.
Please enjoy some of the many shoots captured. Always love my photo session with them and very much looking forward to our next shoot this coming week!
When my eyes were smiling into a piping hot Hainanese chicken congee cooked in a hot clay pot. All the chats lately is bringing me back to Singapore…. It is time for more travel content again.
We don't take enough photos together. It is always about the littles or one of us behind the lens. This year we will make mindful changes as DH is just as much of the LL brand. So here we were, a pretty crappy iPhone pic. Just the two of us, snapping a quick selfie because we felt like it.
Note: I also love it when clients spoil him (and my family) just as much and they are excited to see (and meet) him.
One of the mornings in Bangkok, we decided to visit both Wat Pho and The Grand Palace since they are close to each other. It was one of the hottest days during our visit (35C) and we decided to leave our hotel early.
We saw many photos of the Reclining Buddha Temple, also known as Wat Pho, and wanted to experience ourselves. It is a renowned Buddhist temple located in the Phra Nakhon district. The temple is one of the largest and oldest in Bangkok, with history dating back to the 16th century.
The most prominent feature of the temple is the Reclining Buddha statue, which measures 46 meters in length and 15 meters in height. The statue is covered in gold leaf and depicts Buddha in a reclining position, with his head resting on his right arm, and his feet adorned with intricate mother-of-pearl designs. It was mesmerizing and we were happy to have made it in.
Note: We love that they have a little Thai healing centre where you can book to do a proper Thai massage there. It was very tempting, if we didn’t already have a full itinerary that morning.

Back in Van, sipping our fave iced Hojicha at , and talking about our upcoming travel plans for the remainder of the year, and what to eat for dinner 😝
Photo taken by our littlest. And boy, does ever sound like me when telling us how we should pose lol
Still feels like a dream, just the two of us in South East Asia. Can’t believe I am saying this, but I am missing the 34C weather and the warm air that stroked our skin as I was exploring the Grand Palace in Bangkok Thailand with my Prince Charming.
Note that there is a specific dress code to wear when visiting the Grand Palace. Alternatively, you could buy some Thai fabrics right outside to cover up.
Work have been busy since coming back but a lot more content to come 🥰
Happiness is when I get to make a mess again while being on site. This was a one take shot with from , and the giggles we had afterwards was priceless, and what I’ve missed most.
Can’t wait to come back to properly try the French toast lol 😝
Trying hard to channel my inner when posing in front of the camera. I was asked to submit a headshot recently.
I always feel awkward in front of the camera. Luckily I didn’t have much time to overthink and just had to do it . So there we were, music cranked up in the studio, and snapped a few hundred of shots just to find a few somewhat decent ones to submit lol
And yes, I made DH take these for me and my poor guy is probably traumatized and will not do it again. Next time, we ask the pros for help. 😝
It has been almost a week and the birthday girl STILL talks about the tasting menu at . I have been on a few assignments with team Oca and I am in love every time I am here, with everything they do. It is a small team, no resos, no private buy-outs (because they love their regulars too much), and seeing Greg magically create the pasta at the back is always mesmerizing.
Yes, it is worth the line up (and I don’t usually do line up unless I am in Japan lol). Nothing makes this mama happier than finally getting to spoil my littles here and dine in person instead of just takeaway.
And yes, ordering the tasting menu is a must. Absolutely deserved as one of the finalists of the recent “Foodie of the Year.”
I will be sharing some more images from one of my fave assignments with this year.
What a great crowd today!
Tomorrow is the day! The Spot Prawn Festival with the 🦐🥳 who is excited?!
We can’t wait to celebrate all things Spot Prawns!
📸:
Two more days until the launch of the glorious spot prawn season. It is exciting to see what my clients create and I cannot wait to share, here, and on their platforms.
The weather was perfect out creating content with and . He has been Tojo San’s fisherman friend for over 15 years and his go to for seafood like spot prawns, octopus, and fish. Extra bonus when joined as well.
Yes, I love my job ❤️ and no I didn’t get seasick this time lol Special thank you to Stewart for taking us out!
