Seeing Natasha Richardson sketching and being a complete icon was so inspiring to a young Kelsey. That fact that I get to do this for a living is still a pinch me moment.

Dreaming of a drop waist?

Meet Lauralie 🤍

She is shown here with a whisper of ocean blue under the silk white netting. Her bodice is entirely hand draped, with a bit of sparkle at the waist. Though I think today I would put our Audrey bow belt on her instead.

A little sunshine on this rainy, grey, dreary day.

Our L wore a custom silk crepe back satin gown that went through quite the design process. The dress she wore for her wedding wasn’t what we had originally designed for her.

This is a wonderful example of how having a custom dress made allows you to evolve your vision…without having to get a whole new dress.
During her muslin fitting, where we fit a mock up version of your dress, she decided that there were elements of the original design that she just didn’t like. They looked great on paper, but in reality were just not her.
We made subtle changes to the neckline and perfected the fit.
She even changed out the sleeve style when she realized that a fitted sleeve wouldn’t allow her to do her favourite dance moves!

This day wasn’t the end of the story for this dress. We turned it into a bodysuit…but that’s a whole other post!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
We have so much to be thankful for. Swipe through to see just a handful of our brides from this past year.

We are still picking our jaws up off the floor over these images. We love seeing how our brides bring their visions to life and how we get to play a part in that, but this wedding was next level.

Our bride D customized our Briar dress by changing the front to our Poppy neckline and requesting a tweak to the bodice lace placement…so we knew this bride had an eye for details. We then found out that she owns .bc and did her own flowers the morning of the wedding. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
We are in love with everything…down to the silk butterflies by on her veil!

For those of you who think that while black dresses are pretty, no one actually wears black for their wedding…

Meet one of our brides who wore black! Our bride M was stunning in a black velvet flocked star netting skirt and sleeves with a black crepe curved crop top (still fully b***d!) and a black tulle veil.
