It’s a little Christmas-y in Kitsilano these days! Tonight we have a great line-up, one of my favourites of the year. Almost like a gift to me and any of you who want to laugh in the face of the 4 pm sunset!

Night two of our coat drive is tonight! If tonight’s anything like last Saturday then it will be FUN! Holy, i laughed so much last week. Come to show! Bring an umbrella!

Comedy in Kitsilano on Saturdays are on a roll! A huge part of that is the wonderful audience members who have been ready to let go and have a night! Great line-ups all December!

Last week the show was so funny, according to one audience member, that he had to buy pizza to say thanks. I said, “No pizza necessary!” And he said, “Dude. Accept the pizza.” Life lesson learned, it was delicious.

Couldn’t have asked for more fun last weekend! Having Paul in from France for a couple shows with such great audiences and all the other comedians? Perfecto!

Saturdays in Kits have been FUN! Big laughs, great audiences, just what I need now that’s it’s dark at 4:17 pm.

Last Friday some rare, hilarious moments happened! A clerk at Buy-Low just reenacted one of them for me and the customer next in line. Haha, she killed it too. Huge thanks to the wonderful audience members and hilarious comedians who keep Jokes Please! so fun and exciting!

Live shows can have individual personalities. As far as I remember, last week’s show had a DISTINCT personality. Haha, who knows though. We’re back tonight with a beauty!

Stand-up comedians are fun to be around. Audience members who like stand-up are also fun to be around. I’m glad both groups come to Jokes Please! See you this weekend perhaps!

Comedy in Kits on Saturday nights have been a blast lately! Strolling Kitsilano during the day I keep getting stuck behind the slowest walkers on earth. Then Saturday nights we’re met with very lively audiences who, I bet, walk at a reasonable pace at least. Thanks for coming everyone!

Fridays in Mount Pleasant have been getting BIG laughs! Fun times during my favourite weather of the year. Strolling season/comedy season is how I see it.

I love when accidental themes emerge. Last week there was a lot of sweeties on the show. Funny people who are also sweeties? Rare. Not last week. SAVE SOME SWEETIES FOR THE REST OF US I hear people saying. Good call. But we will always have last Saturday. Hug your friends and Grandmas if you can.

Some weeks it feels like old times! There was a bunch of DIY fun behind the scenes last week and it reminded of ole’ Little Mountain. Huge thank you to the wonderful comedians and audience members over the years. What a fun thing!

Last Friday there were big laughs! Big, rolling laughs that stayed with me all week. Thus is the power of good, live comedy. I love it.

I’m pumped to be back doing Jokes Please! Fridays AND Saturdays! Fridays have been a blast (see these photos for example) but I like the vibe change doing shows in Kits and Mount Pleasant! See you all soon I hope!

Last week we got more jokes about mail than usual, more criminologists in the crowd than usual and the rest was good ole JP! fun! Perfecto!

Last Friday’s stand-up show was a gooood one! Sure, there were Canadian comedy icons, a great crowd, a Rob Lowe book for some reason and a bunch of cake but also, one joke was told that is still in my brain. It’s made me laugh probably a dozen times since. What a thing to be surrounded by such funny people. We’re back tonight!

Summer fun ladies babies! We’re back tonight with a big one!

Sure one of the lights was malfunctioning leading to some odd light cue hilarity but that’s how live shows go! And when the audience and comedians are this good then it all becomes part of one very funny night!

The first and last photos are of the same moment from opposite angles. An audience member had said something vulnerable during some crowd work. Then another audience member was very, hilariously kind to the first guy. These live shows can have some magic to them!

Last Friday was hilarious. It was chaos. Sweet, air conditioned Chris Gordon chaos! We’re back tonight with a great line-up in a very nicely temperatured venue: perfecto!

Kits comes out for stand-up on Saturdays and it is FUN! Sure, the beach is there and patios and old home owners walking slowly on sidewalks but what about at night?? Well, that’s when a group of slightly crazy people (comedians) go a little mad (do comedy) and then the whole neighbourhood gets a little NIGHT SPICE, haha. I love it.

Last Friday was a BEAUTY! The Cambrian Hall is air conditioned, the people have gotten pumped at the patios around the corner, everybody walks to the show? Who knows why some shows click but I love it when they do! We’re back tonight!

A feel like the summer shows have a bit more chaos to them or something. Not a bad thing, just that some recent shows have had some WILD moments. Hilarious, sometimes odd but wild too. Haha. Very exciting! We’re back in Kits tonight after a beauty last night!

Last Friday we laughed and laughed. What else could you want from a stand-up show? Oh yeah, we did it with friends. Ideal!

Last Saturday was moving day for me. Luckily the Kits crowd was awesome and made it easy to do comedy with a U-Haul parked in the back. Such comedians! Such crowds! One person gave Ivan a microwave cookbook (a great gift if you’ve seen that joke). We’re back tonight!
