It's always so inspiring to be surrounded by amazing women in our Victoria community and I was fortunate enough to be a part of the "100+ Women Who Care" event held this past Monday at the Belfry Theatre.

For 1 hour we came together to hear speeches, share stories and enjoy conversation. Presenters included Shelbourne Community Kitchen, 1000 x 5 Children’s Book Recycling Program, and the Greater Victoria Police Service Society.

The idea behind 100+ Women Who Care is to raise money efficiently and quickly for local charities in a simple way. Meetings last for 1 hour and each participant donates $100 to a chosen charity.

The winner of the evening was the Greater Victoria Police Service Society - a local organization whose purpose involves working with police to help people impacted by crime and trauma - who received $20,000.

What a great opportunity to be a part of The University of Victoria’s Coast Capital Savings Innovation Centre, UVic Engineering and UVic Gustavson School of Business “Ideate 2022” event held yesterday at the Engineering & Computer Science Building! ✨

Hi-Rise was able to present a business project to the students from the Gustavson School of Business and UVic Engineering to work on as cross-functional, engineering-business teams for the summer semester.

The evening included lots of great ideas from other professionals in the community looking to grow their businesses with this innovative approach.💡

Taylor pitched his idea to incorporate his business more in the community which was well received.
