Sennheiser presented the new Momentum 4 true wireless headphones at the 2024 Montreal show. The copper finish model is a real standout.

Sennheiser also gave us an exclusive sneak peak at two other new models that were unboxed for the first time, just for us! We are presently under embargo, however will be able to release the photos we took and details in the coming weeks. Check back for the first reveal April 9th!

Audioquest is heavily featured in the 2024 Montreal Audiofest with products in many rooms. The mythical creatures were everywhere as were Audioquest’s AC power cables and conditioners.

Totem Acoustic’s founder and chief designer Vince Bruzzese hard at work at the 2024 Montreal Audiofest show their Element Metal V2 speakers. Totem also showed a full Tribe V surround system. All these speakers utilize Totem’s proprietary and in-house built Torrent drivers. The first batch of the all new Loon mini monitor is due to ship out from their Montreal factory this week. More from the ongoing 2024 Montreal Audiofest, Hegel presented the new H190V 150 watts x 2 integrated amp ($4899). The V is for vinyl - this newly updated version now includes a built-in MM phono stage based on the critically acclaimed Hegel V10 phono preamp MM section. They also upgraded the power supply for improved performance. The first reviews are out and they are more than glowing! After hearing it at the show today, we concur. We are taking preorders now for May/June delivery.

At the 2024 Montreal Audiofest, Technics showed the new SL-1200GR2 ($2799 w/o cartridge) which uses a new method to generate the motor control signal resulting in greatly reduced motor vibration, many of which in are in frequencies of the natural resonancies of the tonearm & cartridge. So what does this all mean? The tracking precision is drastically improved for a more accurate sound stage, better imaging, and a very low noise floor. Contact us to preorder.

Technics also displayed thier flagship SL1000 turntable with a Ortofon Xpression MC - the combo tipping the scales at about 35K.

Kanto at the 2024 Montreal Audiofest unvieled 2 new speakers the powerful REN shown in the new Glossy Creme finish and the ORA 4, a big brother to the ORA desktop speakers. The REN features a HDMI ARC input, night mode, a dialog enhancer, and 200 wats of peak power. The ORA 4 offered deep extended bass performance and USB-C input. Look for these soon at Atlas!

Yamaha has multiple rooms at the 2024 Montreal Audiofest. The showcased the top AS series integrated amplifier, speakers and in a second room, the new RN-2000 streaming amplifier which exceeded all expectations. The new RN models have started to arrive with more models coming in the first week of April.

Exciting news for Naim fans. Naim is celebrating 50 years with a reissue of the iconic NAIT amplifier. Atlas AVU attended the 2023 Montreal AudioFest at the Hotel Bonaventure last weekend. The show was packed and many of the smaller rooms had lineups out the doors into the hallways. Here are a few of the updates for brands we offer that were at the show.
