Hi, everyone! I am getting back into this online world and wanted to update all those who are new here about who I am. It's been a while since I have come into this portal but here I go...

The human body is miraculous. ✨
So I haven’t been posting on here as much as I used too. Mostly due the fact my whole life has shifted in priorities over the last year and social media isn’t where I spend my spare time.
But there is also a part of me who wants to share these kinds of posts with my family, friends and future self to look back to and see the words I have written.
To explain the shifts that have unfolded in my life would need a whole lots more then words on a screen but I will still try.
Over the last year I have relocated to a new country, adopted a new way of life, and really have fallen in love with the most special human for me in this life. Our paths were destined to meet and since then our life together has blossomed like a sweet peony, fully softening my being and allowing the love of grace into my heart.
David has been a gift in my life since day one. He has been an epitome of loyalty, commitment, patience, trust and integrity. His love has uncovered both my deepest talents and fears but held them delicately in the fabric of time with his protective heart for me to heal.
Our love together has created one of the greatest joys and prides of my life, which is our baby who grows each day in my womb. When I first found out we were expecting, it was a surprise and I didn’t know how much love I would have for my child prior to their birth. But, with each day I grow and with that my love deepens both for my baby and David. Never have I felt a love like this, to love your child is one of this world’s greatest gifts. When I first heard their heart beat it brought me to tears simply because it is the most natural experience. To be able to create life and nurture it really is the reason if existence, not all the petty other crap.

Discernment is our greatest ally.
Without discernment our poison can be our medicine and our medicine can be our poison.
In the natural world many benign plants imitate other poisonous species to greater their chance at survival. They capitalize on their predators inability to discern to confuse them into believing they are just as dangerous as their near look alike. If their predator is awake this discernment is easy, it relies on the subtle intuitive knowledge that exists within all beings but if this predator is desperate or overstimulated the choice is rushed and mistakes occur. As humans drifted away from nature they themselves have lost the ability to discern as quickly and intuitively. In the past we could smell, touch and identify a poisonous snake just by the small subtleties it possessed but as computers and phones replaced our predators, we had no consequences of false discernment. False ideas, theories and fantasies catch like wildfire across the internet leaving us confused, muddled and prey to large companies and those that capitalize on our inability to discern.
Our discernment is what identifies a poison as a poison or a medicine as a medicine. It relies on choice, the power that comes from an internal point of control. Informed choice relies on knowledge which comprises of intuitive knowledge, scientific knowledge, traditional knowledge and other internal knowledge systems. If there is no option there is no choice and with that discernment is lost. We become desperate, incapable of knowing the power relies within us; to strike or to wait for the next prey. Under pressure we forget that no action is still an option.
The thing is, all our medicines will look different. All our poisons will look different. We are all our unique beings, with unique experiences, unique traditions, unique bodies. If we all ate the same poison some of us would die and some of us would live. It is up to you to discern the thoughts, the narratives, the programming you have received to discern for yourself what is your medicine, what is your poison. You must stand for something, or you will fall for everything.

The natural world is alway my greatest teacher. She continuously teaches me through subtle observations that only those who wait and listen can hear.
Fungi always demonstrate that death is only just a rebirth, a time of transformation and diffusion into all that is.
How do you honour this great transformation and those that have moved through it?
P.S. if you know what fungus this is bonus points! 🦋 I think it could be Cercospora musae.

My most loved book (clearly). One of the five that made it with me overseas to CR.
Felt like it was worth sharing today on truth and reconciliation day (a day of respect and honour of the indigenous peoples of Canada), one of cultural significance with the injunction ending Fairy Creek Blockade] where old growth logging is still proceeding on unceeded indigenous land.
Here is a glimpse into the book from the chapter Old Growth Children, one that particularly touched my heart as I joined Fairy Creek Blockade].
“And trees were just the beginning. The numbers of species of mamala, birds, amphibians, wildflowers, ferns, mosses, lichens, fungi, and insects are staggering. It’s hard to write without running out of superlatives, for these were amount the greatest forests on earth, forests peopled with centuries of past lives, enormous logs and snags that foster more life after their death than before. The canopy is a multilayered sculpture of vertical complexity from the lowest moss on the forests floor to the wisps of lichen hanging high in the treetops, raggedy and uneven from the gaps produced by centuries of wind throw, disease, and storms. This seeming chaos belies the tight web of interconnections between them all, stitched with filaments of fungi, silk of spiders, and silver threads of water. Alone is not a word with meaning in this forest.” - Robin Wall Kimmerer page 278
Truths always come to the surface. Beyond the chaos and noise at some point the gentle unfurling of the world settles and everything lays bare to be seen. Trust the process: the chaos, the unfurling. It will settle. 🌸
Feeling extra grateful today with the injunction news today for . 🦋

In the northern hemisphere we have entered fall, a time of release and introspection. As we look out into nature we see the leaves change colour as they are shed from trees. Flowers turn to berries to supply the animals with there last food before entering hibernation. Plants return back to their roots pulling all their energy into the earth for warmth and protection. We as humans are not separate from nature - we must tend to our cycles or become burdened by that which is holding us back. Now is the time of letting go, of returning back to our personal roots, of sitting in the warmth of our houses and cozy sweaters to find clarity for what we will birth in the spring.
Questions to ask yourself during this time are:
•what am I ready to let go of?
•what patterns do I constantly repeat but would like to change?
•what I’m my heart needs tending and healing?
•where do I want to direct my energy?
Offering online oracle readings & distance energy sessions during this time to best support you in finding clarity. DM for more info. 🖤
Each plant has it’s own essence and once you get to know it, either through growing her, listening to him or ingesting them you can learn the lessons they speak, in their words. Cacao is one of the most resilient plants I have ever gotten to know. She sprouted in this pot after I ate her juicy fruit and forgot about her outside. Still, she grew. No soil, no light just a pot. And not one single seed didn’t sprout. She is known as heart medicine to many of us, and sacred medicine to the indigenous people of Central America. She continues to help me heal, to open up from my shell, to grow and to sprout wherever I am planted. She teaches me something will always grow and sometimes you have to take the lead. She inspires me about how opening up again and again is part of nature. She demonstrates how resilient love is and it will always find a way. 🖤
And so it begins 🌿

✨🌲OLD GROWTHS ARE CRUCIAL 🌲✨
I wanted to share something I believe in, which is the importance of old growth forests. Old growths offer a unique and diverse ecosystem that is unrepeatable for hundreds, if not thousands of years. As a herbalist I understand they are crucial areas for the ecosystem - housing certain species that are only found within them, all while producing healthy areas for certain animals at the base of the food chain to live, reproduce and thrive. Animals such as salmon, certain fungi and plants need old growths for their reproduction and homes. Some of these animals, such as the salmon, feed larger animals like the Orcas that live off the shores of Vancouver Island. The old growth forests of our world are created through thousands of years of ecological work, which if left to the logging industry would be cut and used within a few years. This creates a ecological debt irreplaceable by young trees, the carbon load is too high and creates an unstable ecosystem at a global scale. Unsustainable actions like this are at the base of consumerism, mass extinction of animals and our dissociation/disconnection from nature as a culture. We need more green space and jobs that connect us to nature not from it. We don’t need more consumerism and feeling disconnected and in need of anything. We need wholeness and health which comes from connection and nature. There is 1-3% of old growths left on Vancouver Island at ground level which is where they are most ecological important. These are critical places for life at the micro and macro scale. And right now there are areas of old growth that need your protection & solidarity. These places are sacred and sparse, we need to treat them with reverence. A Pacheedaht elder gave a speech today and said “there is nothing left to fight for expect our own souls. When those trees are gone, then our souls will all go with it. Because the spirits that go up to the forest will have no home to go to.” He was referring to all the spirits of those in the past and future who have prayed and meditated here and created it their spiritual home.
Thanks for reading.

✨OVULATION IS A SIGN OF HEALTH ✨
If someone with a p***s couldn’t make s***m and ej*****te we would wonder about their health. BUT when someone with ovaries doesn’t create &/or mature eggs and ovulate we pretend like it’s not a big deal. Mostly because we aren’t taught about how to identify if we even ovulate.
As a culture we are lead to believe that if we are bleeding we are also ovulating when in fact that’s a false sense of security. We also widely prescribe and medicate in order to suppress ovulation which disables us to look at it as a vital sign of health.
Ovulation only happens if we have enough resources, are feeling safe and have all our hormones functionally proper. If we are under eating, stressed, over competing, or dis-regulated in other body systems our fertility will be affected quickly. This is why it’s so important - serving as a mirror to our internal world, fluctuating with our current health status.
OVULATION IS A SIGN OF HEALTH and if used correctly could help actually identify other conditions in the endocrine system and/or reproductive system and therefore can actually help prevent infertility from happening if used to diagnose conditions early.
Also, for those that don't ovulate it doesn't nesssesarly mean your unhealthy, it just indicates there could be something going on a deeper level. Ovulation is a sign of health, but not the only one.
It's my sun return today. It's been 365 days of pure integration, release and transformation in my life and I wanted to come on to share a little bit more about me and my journey this past year and and/or my opinions about this year and my life.
Number one: I am not scared of death - it's a natural phenomenon that happens to all living things and is natural as life itself. Death is sacred and our society is so scared of it and so egotistical that they deem it as the end when I personally believe it is the great "return". Instead of being scared of death I am scared of not living and/or living in fear.
Number two: I love my mom. I almost lost her this year and I appreciate her body still being here in physical form. If anyone has taught me to not be scared of death and that living a life not worth living is worse than death, it's her. I am still sure glad she's around and thanks for birthing me on this day - you're a rockstar for pushing me out of your va**na.
Number three: My actions, my words and my choices are powerful. They influence the world around me and how I choose to make eye contact with strangers, speak my truth and invest my money (which is ultimately my energy) matters! I can choose each moment to act in alignment with my truth or be hardened by acting out of alignment with my true nature. PS. been investing in Bitcoin lately and that feels really good.
Number four: All races, ages and people matter. I have always had multicultural friends, and for as white as I am, I am a mix of MANY nationalities and cultures from all over the world. My family line is very multicultural and I learn more about the intricacies of how my family line was developed every few years. With that being said I do not take part in disagreements about how races are any different. I see all people as human beings who live on this shared Earth. You can identify with your culture which has identifying qualities but to identify with a race is like identifying with your biological gender - pointless unless used in a medical setting, in my opinion. Culture is what defines us and culture is (continued in comments).
