We are back open after taking a few days to reorganize after .consignment move out🧡 (They open their new spot tomorrow, March 2!)

Our one year anniversary at 574 Yates is coming up so we want to shoutout some pals who’ve helped make our shop look great! for repainting our sandwich board, for the best change room murals ever and for our first ever merch Tee shirt design ✨ .signs for painting our dream windows! 🌞 for giving our till the biggest glow up of all time with hand made tiles in the perfect colour!💥

Our hours will remain the same (for now) WED-MON 11-6. We’re still hosting pick-ups too!

This is our final week at our original Brica Brac location at 605 Johnson 🥲 To celebrate, the entire store will be 50% off from Tuesday to Saturday 🎉 PLUS everything Brica Brac at 621 Johnson will also be 50% off all week! BONUS! 🤸‍♂️

We are moving!

Over the next month and a half, we will be working on consolidating our two Johnson Street stores into one new store just around the corner on Yates Street.

Here’s a timeline of all the closing/moving/closing/opening:

January 28th will be 605 Johnson’s last day open.

In February, you’ll be able to find us up the street at 621 Johnson.

February 25th will be 621 Johnson’s last day open.

New store opens early March!

We are thrilled that .consignment will be joining us in the new store as well as and ! (Club Variety Bazaar lives on)

We will continue to host & .assembly local pick ups throughout these changes.

Both stores will be 50% off during their last weeks of operation

For anyone who doesn’t know about , she is the artist behind all of the illustrations we use on our website and postcard and the colour palette we use for everything else. She also painted this mural behind the till in our new 621 Johnson street store that we share with & .consignment . We are so thankful to have her work with us on this project and would highly recommend her for anyone needing creative work!

621 Johnson St. opens tomorrow, Saturday September 10th, at 11AM!

We are sharing this new space with .consignment who is committed to offering affordable and unique consignment clothing and who makes stunning pottery by hand and will have a mini studio set up in store!!

Also, is painting a big fun mural in the store for all of us to look at and enjoy everyday! Can’t wait for everyone to see it!

We are opening a second location @ 621 Johnson on September 10!

AND we are excited to be sharing the space with two awesome small businesses: .consignment and ! Weeee!

We are opening a short term, secondary storefront right downtown and we are hoping to share it with another seller!

This is the perfect opportunity for an existing seller who has always wanted to have a brick and mortar but is discouraged by operating costs.

We are offering:
Up to 400 sq feet of display space for your very own shop + FREE RENT in exchange for hours worked in store.

You must be able to:
Commit 3-5 days a week to working in store for 10-12 months.

Preference will be given to those who are already operating a business. Bonus points if you sell vintage/second hand/used!

AN ANNOUNCEMENT!

In 2019 we opened a junk boutique on the corner of Douglas and Discovery. We sold any and all reusable items that we diverted from the landfill. We also sold chips, candy and some locally made art and clothing. We called this store Corner Store.

We closed this brick and mortar at the start of COVID and pivoted to an online store model. We kept Corner Store going through weekly online auctions and ready-to-buy items. We hosted free pick-up days, offered delivery, and even started shipping our salvaged goods across North America.

With the opening of our new store on Lower Johnson we want to use this opportunity to let go of the name Corner Store and start fresh with a name that better represents what we do.
